Riding Bikes Through ROME ITALY! (Day 6)
Probably wasn't the smartest idea... crazy american tourists mobbing through traffic and parks lol. But no one got killed so id count that as a win!
Also ITS HARD FILMING ON A BIKE! Especially one with a flat tire!
Its not exactly natural to be waving around hundreds of dollars worth of equipment, On a bike, WITH A FLAT TIRE.
But its all about the shot.
Oh and sorry i couldn't film at the market!!!! It was so crowded there was no way i could ever have filmed to my satisfaction. Also that place is kind of known for wallet snitchers.. so i was kinda focused on that.
Tomorrow we bounce up hundreds of steps to watch the sunrise over Rome from the highest point you can reach! The views are insane. Keep your eyes peeled peeps.
One more thing. My videos have been taking more and more time, and the reason for that is i lost a far amount of footage. It took me about a week just to get it back. Almost destroyed these last couple of vlogs! BUT NO MORE! Videos will be FLYING OUT NOW. Also ive taken some time to edit some videos for yall that are after the Rome Vlogs, so you won't have to wait long after these are done. We do some good stuff... blowing up a microwave... you know, the usual. We like blowing things up.
Sub to make sure and see them!
Austin out! PEACE!

Museo Gregoriano Etrusco - Biga – Gregorian Etruscan Museum - Biga

According to Etruscan tradition in the orientalizing period, chariots were buried in the tombs of rich aristocrats as part of their grave goods. In the Regolini-Galassi tomb three different types of vehicle were identified: a biga, a towed chariot for passengers, and a carriage for heavy transportation. This video shows the reconstruction of the biga, used by men for war, hunting and races, similar in function to the Roman currus.

CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Judah Ben-Hur (Charlton Heston) wins the race while Messala (Stephen Boyd) is left bleeding in the dust.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
This 1959 version of Lew Wallace's best-selling novel, which had already seen screen versions in 1907 and 1926, went on to win 11 Academy Awards. Adapted by Karl Tunberg and a raft of uncredited writers including Gore Vidal and Maxwell Anderson, the film once more recounts the tale of Jewish prince Judah Ben-Hur (Charlton Heston), who lives in Judea with his family during the time that Jesus Christ was becoming known for his radical teachings. Ben-Hur's childhood friend Messala (Stephen Boyd) is now an ambitious Roman tribune; when Ben-Hur refuses to help Messala round up local dissidents on behalf of the emperor, Messala pounces on the first opportunity to exact revenge on his onetime friend. Tried on a trumped-up charge of attempting to kill the provincial governor (whose head was accidentally hit by a falling tile), Ben-Hur is condemned to the Roman galleys, while his mother (Martha Scott) and sister (Cathy O'Donnell) are imprisoned. But during a sea battle, Ben-Hur saves the life of commander Quintus Arrius (Jack Hawkins), who, in gratitude, adopts Ben-Hur as his son and gives him full control over his stable of racing horses. Ben-Hur never gives up trying to find his family or exact revenge on Messala. At crucial junctures in his life, he also crosses the path of Jesus, and each time he benefits from it. The highlight of the film's 212 minutes is its now-legendary chariot race, staged largely by stunt expert Yakima Canutt. Ben-Hur's Oscar haul included Best Picture, Best Director for the legendary William Wyler, Best Actor for Heston, and Best Supporting Actor for Welsh actor Hugh Griffith as an Arab sheik.
