Big Well Fly Fishery
Bigwell fly fishery is set in an idyllic location in the small village of Redbrook, situated in the picturesque Wye Valley on the border between England and Wales. Bigwell consists of two spring fed lakes which are crystal clear and cold with two more lakes fed from the overflow from the spring and local stream, which bring in wild brown trout. Set in tranquil surroundings offering a diverse mix of animals and plants including ducks, birds, geese, kingfishers, pheasants, wagtails, hawks and even the bigwell Mascot Georgie (the owners dog!).
Our stream offers anglers a great opportunity for catching the occasional wild brown trout (all brown trout must be released) we stock weekly with rainbow and blues. We stock a number of large fish 5lb - 12lb any fish over 5lb to be released
We offer catch and kill or various other sporting tickets - please see our prices section for full details. Why not come down and relax with us, as well as a days fishing we offer a friendly atmosphere with a well equipped shop should you require some fishing equipment.

Fast Fly Tying and Canal Pike hunting - Fishing Britain episode 2
OK - could you arrive at a water, work it out, tie a fly and catch a trout in under two hours? That's the challenge we set top flyfisherman Hywel Morgan. He is on a water in Monmouthshire in the depths of winter to do just that. Does he succeed? Find out in this week's Fishing Britain.
That's not all. Ant Glascoe Jr is after pike in Hampshire, we talk to the Wye & Usk Foundation, which has saved those rivers, there is our round-up of the best fishing videos of the week on YouTube and there is Fishing Britain news, including a goby that crawls up rocks with its mouth. Sounds fishy to us.
