Biharinath is the tallest hill of Bankura District, in the Indian state of West Bengal., and one of the dense forest areas of the district. It is a part of the Eastern Ghats . It is 451 metres high. It is situated about 60 kilometres north-west of Bankura town and 14 kilometres north-east of Saltora town.
Biharinath is known as the Araku Valley of West Bengal. The base of hill is a popular tourist spot. A small tank measuring 0.50 ha provides facilities for angling. There is an old Shiva temple of Biharinath nearby.
Biharinath offers a pollution-free green surroundings where water is panacea. This place has hills, dense forests with abundant flora and fauna, spring, water bodies, damodar river, and a renowned Shiva temple. Susumia hill, joychandi pahar, garh panchakut, baranti, panchet dam and maithan dam are all located at short distances.govt of west bengal has already taken a 150 crore mega tourism project for Biharinath. And with this fund a Cable car operation is likely to be operational by 2016. Also, a bridge over river Damodar has already been sanctioned and then Biharinath will be only a little distance from Burnpur or Asansol.

Approximate driving distance between Bankura and Biharinath Hill is 63 kms by road .
Distance between Asansol and Biharinath West Bengal is 39 kms by road.
Biharinath is the second highest hill in sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
Biharinath is 16km from Madhukunda, a railway station on the Asansol-Adra track and off the Saltora-Madhukunda road.
There is only one bus from Raniganj station that goes directly to Biharinath, but from Bankura there are more direct buses to Biharinath. From Madhukonda Rail Station there are shuttle services for Biharinath.

The hill is also one of the dense forest areas of the district. It is a part of the Eastern Ghats.Biharinath is known as the Araku Valley of West Bengal. Sal Forest of Bankura creates scenic beauty throughout the year. The tourist spot is located at the foot of the hill, near Biharinath temple. Biharinath offers a pollution-free green surroundings where water is panacea. There are small villages in the area.
