The beautiful backdrop at Azouzetta Lake Lodge in British Columbia, Canada
Trust me, there is a lake there. LOL
I couldn't go down to the lake because I wasn't registered as a guest and staying at the lodge/campground. I did see it though when I rode past on my motorcycle.
Azouzetta Lake Lodge is about 60km (40 miles) East of McLeod Lake, BC and 100km (60 miles) West of Chetwynd, BC
Note: The noise at the end of the video is from one of the women who works at the lodge closing the swinging gate. It is NOT, I repeat, is NOT a ghost!
Ice Climbing in the Pine Pass, Northern BC
Prince George, British Columbia, Canada
Recently our small band of friends traveled south from Dawson Creek to Prince George, BC, Canada. We (Charlie & Jeannie, Charlie & Patti, Denny & Claire) spent our first night boondocking in a Walmart, and were met by another of our Alaska Tour friends from New Zealand, Phil & Marit Shaw!
While in the Walmart parking lot, Phil & Charlie had a great time throwing a Frisbee around followed by Movie Night at Phil & Marit’s trailer!
The next day we caravanned to a local campground to stay the night and replenish our tanks. This was sadly our last night all together so we had one last Pot Luck dinner and gave each other hugs as we each head our own way south toward home!

BC Highway 97 in the Okanagan Northbound - part 1 of 4 - time lapse
This video series is Highway 97 in British Columbia. Highway 97 is the longest provincially maintained highway in Canada, however in this series I have only focused on the Southernmost section in the Okanagan Valley.
Apart from the main highway there are a number of branches to Highway 97 that are in the area: Highways 97A, 97B, 97C and 97D. These will be featured after this series.
This first part starts close to the American border by the Town of Osoyoos. Here, like much of the Okanagan region, the landscape is dominated by many vineyards and orchards.
The area around Osoyoos is also considered to be the Northern limit of the Upper Sonoran desert - Canada's only true desert. Consequently, the area around Osoyoos is semi-arid with hot summer days and mild winters.
The highway meanders through the valley passing through a number of small towns and frequently hugs the sides of the series of lakes that lie in the valley.
The video ends in Penticton which itself is situated between the Skaha Lake and Lake Okanagan.
This filmed on March 22, 2013.
