A Solo Ride Across Southern Africa
D0 中国上海 9月11日
D1 September 13th 到达约翰内斯堡Fourways Motor买车, 到朋友家处理行驶证问题，夜住资深职业摄影师家，咨询很多关于安全与路况问题。
D2 上牌，装配件，买装备，下午多出的时间参观曼德拉纪念馆和种族隔离博物馆
D3 前往 Zimbabwe，下午到，被退回，夜住落魄白人旅馆
D4 直接赶往Kruger 国家保护区，路上拍了第一版宝马会牛逼。16:30 进保护区3小时，住公园
D5 赶往首都比勒陀利亚，600公里，住大使馆正对面。
D6 中国大使馆换护照， 前往博茨瓦纳与纳米比亚大使馆，下午到原曼德拉办公室参观。相当于南非中南海。
D7 出发去Pilanesberg保护区，路上骑进灌木1公里，划破手，下午到MANYANE大门，17：30 进保护区
D8 早上5：30 SAFARI， 从NAMIBIA拿好签证到Durban 过几个山口。800公里。
D9 前往桑尼垭口，号称非洲第一高，第一难。 住独幢 37号房子。
D10 前往East London，过瓦祖鲁族民族大区，曼德拉出生地。
D11 一路前往Port Elisabeth，

D22 GHANZI到 MAUN ，路上疫区，拍了二段视频 ，订好第二天TOUR，住进 白色的旅馆

D24 出发去 GABORANE 雨，晚上 住进 胖老太婆
D25 回到南非，夜住帐篷
D26 慢悠悠, 差不多在50公里的地方拍了几段视频 到下午才到JOHANESBURG 星期天， 下午又下雨， A Peaceful Retreat没吃晚饭
D27 卖车 CASINO， 晚上坐飞机
D28 多哈

这大概算是最艰险的一次远征了，也是人生最值得回忆珍藏的旅程之一。
从开始产生想法到成行，花了6个月。即使尽量考虑周全，还是漏了最重要的护照问题。到了比勒陀利亚才发现，护照的签证页仅剩4页，只能去3个国家。一方面是长期中非友好免签的印象深刻，二是查阅资料很多都是落地签，即使到达一个国家办下一个国家也来得及。虽然肯尼亚的签证已有，但到达肯尼亚途经的国家和从肯尼亚到埃及的途经国家，因为签证页太少，没有办法办理签证。
去非洲，需要考虑各种风险。首当其冲的是各种人身伤害，包括武装绑架，抢劫，野生动物；到达第一天就从摩托车的工具箱里翻出一个手枪弹匣，摩托车店的店员说是他自己放着为了防身的，哈。二是某些地区极其落后的交通设施。搓衣板路和黄沙路成为家常便饭。没有一定的越野经验，真的寸步难行。三是疾病传播与疫区；很多试图穿越非洲的当地人因为染病而放弃，这些随时发作的传染病其实每天都是隐隐挂在心头的担忧。谁知道自己是不是已经染上了呢？四是腐败和诈骗造成的通行困难。比如津巴布韦其实是由于腐败与诈骗最后没能成行。也幸好没有进入津巴布韦，否则不但护照损失宝贵的2页，还使行程变得更加无法进退。
以上这些情况因为事先已有推演准备，才顺利应付过去。
气候上讲，到达南非的时候，离雨季还有20多天。本来打算一路向北，正好在雨季到来的时候，驶离南部非洲，到达北部旱区。
出发之前几个月，陆续联系几个非洲的旅游公司和租车公司，打听气候，道路和人文情况。 当时两个选择，一是买车再卖车，二是租车。但租车不允许出南非，放弃。只能买车。
车辆选择的是川崎VERSYS 300 X 2017，最主要是考虑了身高。 虽然动力小了一点，但是为了应付不熟悉的道路条件，以及考虑最终车辆极可能丢弃，选择了价格不高，质量可靠，续航300公里以上的VERSYS 300.
设备篇：
除正常长途骑行装备外：
1. 外包。 达喀尔版的 TOURATECH 90升防水包；
2. 10升油壶；
3. 蚊香 2盒；防蚊喷剂1支；
4. 压缩干粮 25份；
5. 3升水袋1个；单兵净水器一个；
6. 物品众，不细说；疫苗注射齐全。一次性针筒若干；
7. 电脑一台。能应急当充电宝使用。
8. 没功夫，不写了

Burry Stander Memorial Ride - Durban - 3/4 Moonlight Mass 5 January 2013
1500-2000 estimated turnout in memoriam of the late great Burry Stander.
This is a social ride usually done around the full moon. But seen as it's holidays and the moon has other phases we ride on every quarter of the moon in January:
Friday 11 January - New moon
Saturday 19 January - 1st quarter moon
Sunday 27 January - Full Moonlight Mass (Main ride)
Ride starts at 8pm from Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The Critical/Moonlight Mass idea is simply to ride with your friends around the city, to highlight it's beauty, as well as raising awareness around bicycling in the city and the safety of cyclists in the urban environment.
Lights are highly recommended, as are helmets, according to national road laws.. the onus is on the individual concerned in all instances.
We encourage casual dress as this is a very relaxed slow paced city/commuter ride.

They replaced their token leather vests and graphic tee-shirts with blazers, ties and button downs. Some were spotted in three-piece suits and a pocket square or two. Dressed to impress, they matched their beautiful bikes custom.

Al-Qarra - It's done, said South African Minister of Finance Pravin Grodhan to Agence France Press. In Durban's the five largest emerging economies, Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa have reached an agreement to launch a development bank. An agreement in principle according to some sources.
