37ª Concentração Internacional Motos
A 37ª Concentração Internacional de Motos 2018, realizou-se, uma vez mais, no Vale das Almas, em Faro, de 19 a 22 de julho. Este evento, uma das maiores concentrações motards em toda a Europa, teve na edição deste Ano, mais um grande êxito.
De acordo com a Organização, a 37ª concentração primou pela qualidade, tendo superado as expetativas, tanto nesse capitulo como no das inscrições, tendo com o registo de cerca de 17.000 inscrições e perto de 30.000 pessoas no Vale da Almas (Montenegro / Faro / Algarve) e arredores.
Durante os 4 dias desta concentração, que é já uma tradição, consumiram-se mais de 80.000 litros de cerveja e algo parecido no que à água e sumos diz respeito, contribuindo para isso o tempo quente que se fez sentir na Região do Algarve, nomeadamente nos últimos 2 dias (Sábado e Domingo).
Como agradecimento à população da Capital do Algarve, realizou-se o tradicional desfile entre o Vale das Almas (perto do Aeroporto Internacional do Algarve) e o centro da Cidade, com milhares de pessoas nas Ruas e outras tantas “montadas” na suas máquinas, desde as mais potentes às mais modestas, como das mais vistosas às mais normais ou mesmo a tender para a motocicleta, que não uma moto.
Mas o espirito motard esteve lá e nem as ameaças à segurança, ensombrou a edição 2018, tendo tudo decorrido como o previsto e sem acontecimentos dignos de registo. A Mais Algarve acompanhou a par e passo esta 37ª concentração com um repórter residente no acompanhamento e várias camaras no seu exterior, registando os momentos mais marcantes e que mereceram e merecem da nossa parte e das nossas camaras o registo.
O Moto Clube de Faro, foi uma vez mais a entidade responsável pela organização, deste grande sucesso, com a colaboração de diversas Entidades públicas e Privadas, que estão de parabéns por este evento em Julho de 2018.

The 37th International Motorcycle Event 2018 was held once again in the Vale das Almas, in Faro, July 19-22. This event, one of the largest motard concentrations in all of Europe, had in the edition of this Year, another great success.
According to the Organization, the 37th concentration focused on quality, having exceeded the expectations, both in this chapter and in the inscriptions, with the registration of about 17,000 registrations and close to 30,000 people in the Vale da Almas (Montenegro / Faro / Algarve ) and surroundings.
During the 4 days of this concentration, which is already a tradition, more than 80,000 liters of beer were consumed and something similar in relation to water and juices concerns, contributing to this the warm weather that was felt in the Algarve Region, namely in the last 2 days (saturday and sunday).
As a thank you to the population of the Capital of the Algarve, there was a traditional parade between Vale das Almas (near the Algarve International Airport) and the city center, with thousands of people in the streets and so many mounted on their machines, from the most powerful to the most modest, from the most showy to the most normal, or even to the motorcycle, rather than a motorcycle.

3 Wochen, 6700 km und viel Spaß. Motorradtour zum 34. Bike Festival nach Faro/Portugal 2015
Jedes Jahr im Sommer treffen sich Tausende Biker in Faro und wir waren diesmal dabei !!!
Geplant hatten wir drei Wochen. Eine Woche hin, eine Woche vor Ort und eine Woche für die Heimreise.
Mit ein wenig Bekleidung, Zelte, Schlafsäcke und mit platzsparenden Kleinigkeiten ausgestattet, ging es vom Ruhrgebiet aus über Belgien und Frankreich nach Portugal.
Das vom *Moto Clube Faro* organisierte Event war der reinste Knaller. Man kann es nicht beschreiben...man muss dabei gewesen sein.
Nach einer spektakulären und hochinteressanten Party-Woche ging es über Spaniens Küstenstraße,
durch Frankreich und Luxemburg at home :-)

Cycling Portugal (Lisbon - Faro)
While studying abroad in Istanbul for spring break I took a cycling trip in Portugal. I started in Lisbon, rented a bike and gear, and finished in Faro. Along the way I camped, and stayed at a friends place in Lagos. I had hoped stealth camp each night, but there ended up not being many great places along the way whenever I was ready to stop riding.
Trip took 5 days (1 rest day), 340 km, 20.5 hrs of riding, average speed 17.25km, max speed 48.78km.

Praia da Luz in the Portuguese province of Algarve offers some amazing trails. There's a mix of freeride lines along the cliffs, xc riding along the coast and a short drive away at Monchique, there's some epic enduro and downhill to be had.

45ª Volta Algarve Bicicleta | Faro
Na última etapa da Volta ao Algarve em Bicicleta, na sua 45ª Edição, Tadej Pogačar partiu para a jornada final em posse da Camisola Amarela Turismo do Algarve, de comandante da geral, da Camisola Azul Águas do Algarve, de rei dos trepadores, e da Camisola Branca 120 Anos da FPC, de melhor jovem.
O francês Arnaud Démare era o dono da Camisola Vermelha Cofidis, dos pontos. A Team Sunweb comanda por equipas. A Volta ao Algarve terminou no domingo dia 24 de Fevereiro com a quinta etapa, uma ligação de 173,5 quilómetros, que começou em Faro, às 12h30, e terminou no alto do Malhão, concelho de Loulé, cerca das 17h00, na segunda ascensão àquela mítica montanha do ciclismo português.
Algarve Granfondo Cofidis
Além da multidão que estava a apoiar os corredores no Malhão, domingo foi também dia de um grande evento popular, o Algarve Granfondo Cofidis, que juntou cerca de 870 ciclistas amadores. Foi uma prova aberta com partida e chegada em Loulé.
Esta iniciativa teve cariz solidário, uma vez que a Cofidis ofereceu uma árvore por cada participante. Deste modo, foram oferecidas 870 árvores para ajudar a reflorestar a serra de Monchique, afetada pelos incêndios de 2018.
Volta ao Algarve inclusiva
A última etapa da Volta ao Algarve contou ainda com uma demonstração de paraciclismo para cegos. Quatro deficientes visuais partiram à frente do pelotão, em tandens.
Um dos guias foi o presidente da Federação Portuguesa de Ciclismo, Delmino Pereira.
A Mais Algarve, esteve na partida desta última etapa que ligou Faro ao Alto do Malhão, no concelho de Loulé e traz-lhe agora algumas das imagens dos bastidores e partidas, captadas pelo nosso repórter de imagem Paulo Ribeiro.

Algarve Granfondo Cofidis
Besides the crowd that was supporting the runners in Malhão, Sunday was also the day of a big popular event, the Algarve Granfondo Cofidis, which gathered around 870 amateur cyclists. It was an open race with departure and arrival in Loulé.
This initiative was supportive since Cofidis offered one tree for each participant. In this way, 870 trees were offered to help reforest the Monchique mountain range, affected by the fires of 2018.
Back to the inclusive Algarve
The last leg of the Tour of the Algarve also had a demonstration of paracyclism for the blind. Four visually impaired departed at the head of the platoon, in tandem.
One of the guides was the president of the Portuguese Cycling Federation, Delmino Pereira.
The “Mais Algarve”, was in the departure of this last stage that linked Faro to Alto do Malhão, in the county of Loulé and now brings you some of the backstage images and matches, captured by our image reporter Paulo Ribeiro.

The eBike Cycle Tourists have more cycling adventures in the Algarve area of Portugal. Join them to view the fantastic landscapes and interesting towns like Loule, Tavira, Santo Antonia, Cachopo and Faro that they have cycled through on their haibike e-bikes. So far in Portugal the cycle paths have been fantastic and when on the roads the traffic is minimal due to the off-peak season of winter leading up to Christmas. So far they only have one flat tyre to report!
