bikecompany.is Our classic route takes you through the old town of Reykjavik, starting from the tower of Hallgrimskirkja. We head downtown, to the sea and the gleaming new Harpa-music hall and from there out to the West-side where we visit one of the most interesting places in Reykjavik -- the old cemetery. We'll cycle along the oldest streets and on our way we stop at numerous interesting places, i.e. the house of parliament, the neo-gothic Catholic cathedral and the city hall where we can a peak at a large relief map of Iceland. We can also show you where to get some of the best seafood, excellent pizza and where to go for a quiet -- or not so quiet -- drink.

We offer mountain bike tours in our private backyard with a good variety of trails, technical single-track to family friendly riding.
We are a small, family run locally based adventure tour company. As well as offering all sorts of adventures into the surrounding nature of this part of Iceland, we also specialize in mountain biking and fat biking.
Located in the mountain biking paradise area of Kirkjubæjarklaustur, South-East Iceland, we have a large selection of trails in our backyard.
Our ambition is to offer a unique variety of tours, in several modes of transport, and to provide you with an adventure you won´t forget! Added to this, we aim to impart as much knowledge and appreciation of this area of South Iceland as we can. We wish to give depth in all aspects of our tour provision, environmental and cultural.

bikecompayni.is We'll take the classic route as described above but we add another dimension to the tour.
First we head to the campus of the University of Iceland. From there we cycle to the coastline and visit the Warm beach which draws its name from the geothermal water that is pumped into the sea in order to make it warm-ish. The beach is a very popular hang-out for young people and families. We then cycle up-hill to Perlan where we can enjoy some of the best views of Reykjavik and surroundings. From there it is downhill to the neighbourhood of North-moor, a respectable residential area made somewhat infamous in the thriller The Moor, by Arnaldur Indridason. Finally we cycle along the grounds of Landspitali-general hospital and back towards Hallgrimskirkja.

Cycle Touring Iceland from North to South
Video blog of a family cycle tour of Iceland in July 2017. We flew to Reykjavik, re-assembled the bikes and then took a bus to Akureyri. We then spent the first week sight seeing in the North including Godafoss, Husavik, Dettifoss and Myvatn. From there we cycled back to Godafoss before starting a 5 day adventure through the interior on the F26 Srengisander route. The final week was spent sight seeing in the South including Landmannalauger, Fludir, Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir. Iceland is a great place for Adventure Cycle Touring. It is not the easiest place to bike though. No cycle paths outside of Reykjavik, very strong winds and rough roads make the riding tough and slow going.

5th and 6th round of the icelandic enduro championship 2011. onboard with Kári Jóns #46 wich is the icelandic enduro champion for the 5th time.
Also Onboard with Elmar Knigth #309, Gulla Sonax #757 and Daði #298 witch took a horrible crash down the ski slope and suffered a broken rib´s, but continued and finished 3rd overall.
