Bicycle route The Green Path in Copenhagen, Denmark
Watch me ride the most interesting 3.3 km of the 9 km long dedicated bicycle and pedestrian path called The Green Path (Den Grønne Sti) in Copenhagen, my home town.
This is like a ring road for bicycles, as it follows a former rail line circumventing the city about 3 km from the center. The bicycle route connects the neighbourhoods Valby (West Copenhagen) with Frederiksberg, Nørrebro and Hans Knudsens Plads (North Copenhagen). My ride in this video is from Frederiksberg towards Hans Knudsens Plads.
Enjoy the nice and varied parks along the way - especially the last one, Superkilen (12:10), which is an award-winning park celebrating cultural diversity with design elements from 60 different nations!
The video is filmed with a hand-held GoPro Hero4 camera mounted on a Zhiyun Rider-M stabilizer.
The bicycle route is available on Google Maps here:
Exploring Copenhagen by Bike - An American Perspective
We had a brief layover in Copenhagen on our way to Eurobike in Germany. It was our first time in Copenhagen so I was just talking through what we were seeing as we rode through the cities infrastructure.
I was really impressed and although we were only here for a brief time the impact on my perspective was quite dramatic. Copenhagen is clearly a setting a trend for other cities to follow.

Bike Friendly Cities: Copenhagen
Where better to start our series on Bike Friendly Cities than in Copenhagen - a city with over 215 miles of bike paths that was declared the world's best city for cycling a few years ago?
We talked with everyone who is anyone in the world of cycling, starting with urban mobility expert Mikael Colville-Andersen, who advises cities across the planet and Morten Kabell, head of Copenhagen's Technical and Environmental Administration. We even found the beautiful lady who ferries sperm samples to fertility clinics around Copenhagen on a sperm-shaped cargo-bike.
And of course we could not leave out the friendly wizards from the bike repair shops. For a number of days we researched whether Copenhagen really is paradise on Earth for cyclists. You can find the answer in our report.

Cycling Copenhagen with Children, Canines & Couples as Cargo
I was sitting in my hotel room after two days of shooting a few videos in Copenhagen and realized I had unconsciously become more fixated on capturing more on people riding with their children (and pets!) than in past trips. It could have something to do with the fact that I have a young son now.
Almost a joke I tweeted to Streetfilms fans asking if I put together a montage of kids and dogs being ferried about in Copenhagen would they watch it. I got over two dozen likes and plenty more replies in a very short time. So while at the airport waiting for my flight to Oslo and also using the flight time and bus ride to hotel, I put stitched this lovely bike poem together.
I hope you like it. Especially because I almost never use slow-mo. Why? I see people that lean on it all the time as a style. For me, I think it's best to use it sparingly. I've used slow-motion maybe twice in 700 Streetfilms. But this time it felt so right. Enjoy.

Exploring Copenhagen by Bicycle | European Bike Tour #18
Start the day by looking for a new hook for my pannier. Had to go to 5 different bike shops to find it. After that went to the little mermaid and the harbor, had a big downpour there.. Went back to the hostel and after that to Christianborgs palace where I could've gone on a tower but it was closed. Then to Amalienborg palace where the queen resides. In the evening I asked at the hostel for some Danish food. Went to the Copenhagen Street Food Market and tried some Smørebrød which was nice but very expensive.
Thanks so much for watching!

Copenhagen-The Most Bicycle-Friendly City in The World [ Denmark ]
In this vlog, I represented Copenhagen the most bicycle-friendly city in the world. Copenhagen has around 220 miles of bike paths and every day almost one million kilometers are cycled by 62% of its citizens. This is the reason why Copenhagen is the most bicycle-friendly city in the world. To many Copenhageners, the bicycle is their most important mode of transportation because its eco-friendly, cheap and healthy. In this vlog, I cycled through Cykelslangen, Inderhavnsbroen, and DR Byen Universitetet Thanks for watching my video.

Wonderful Copenhagen by Bicycle
Home sweet home :-) Watch me set off from my childhood home in the heart of Copenhagen and bicycle 5.3 km through the charming bicycle-friendly city center doing two errands.
Along they way, I give some historic background for selected locations, though, I don't claim to be a tourist guide. Some highlights of the video include:
0:08 Beautiful spiral staircase of the 4-storey 200 year old house I grew up in
0:44 Space efficient bicycle parking hanging by the front wheel
3:05 My favourite square Gråbrødretorv incl. the historic connection with the traitor Mr. Corfits Ulfeldt (1606-1664)
5:19 Some interesting historical facts about the Danish astronomer Ole Rømer (Ole Romer), the first to measure the speed of light. He also assisted in inventing the Fahrenheit temperature scale
7:57 Useful chart for Bicycle Path planning
10:58 Charming Krusemyntegade with copplestones, small houses and trees
15:41 Crossing Strøget, the 1.1 km long main pedestrian promenade influencing city planning domestically and internationally
19:00 Nyhavn, charming new harbour from 17th century
19:14 House of Hans Christian Andersen, where he lived for 16 years and wrote many of his fairy tales
19:25 Bicycling across the nice Inner Harbour Bridge (also called the kissing bridge / kyssebroen) from year 2016 and built only for pedestrians and cyclists
20:18 Copenhagen Opera as seen from the bridge. Also notice the nice Omnium cargo bike zooming by in the opposite direction :-)
24:24 Arriving at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation.
Enjoy the ride!
GREGERS
PS. The video was filmed with a GoPro Hero4 camera place on a gimbal stabilizer and handheld on a short pole. As such, I was bicycling with one hand, not ideal, but handy when wanting to point the camera in different directions.
PPS. The google map link of the route can be viewed here:
PPPS. Just learned today (23 October 2018) that Lonely Planet's top recommendation for a place to visit in 2019 is Copenhagen, so my video title of Wonderful Copenhagen was quite apt:
