Cycling to Work in Singapore
My commute to work this morning by bike, edited down to 5 minutes. The ride from Tampines to Singapore Sports Hub took 1 hour, which is only 15 minutes longer than my commute by train (including walking time). I'm lucky though, I have a safe route to work because of East Coast Park (ECP), and there are places to park my bike and shower at my office.
As the car-lite movement picks up steam and more bicycle friendly infrastructure is built in Singapore, I hope that more people will be able to enjoy cycling to work in future.

Getting Around in Singapore On Bike Sharing (oBike)!
So when all these yellow bikes (oBike, OFO) starting appearing everywhere and then orange ones (Mobike) as well, we decided we had to get our butts on them! Bike sharing has burst into the local scene and from what we've heard - $0.50 for a 15 minute ride, it's cheaper than a Macdonalds soft serve!

Cycling in Singapore: A 73km Scenery Route
This is a 73km route mostly utilising Park Connect (PCN), starting from Bishan Park and cycling through the most scenery parts of Singapore south, east and north rivers and coast line, creating a 73km coast-to-coast circle route. The original route info is available at which is a little bit try-and-error for connecting the paths. Ever since that I have a slightly refined route (this particular one going opposite direction as shown in the video).
This video is one of the videos of my Cycling in Singapore playlist, Cycling in Singapore ( which is a collections of my cycling routes in Singapore.
Each year I also travel to various countries with a group of friends for a 4-day cycling event. You can view those videos here:

Riding 500 km within 18 hours in Singapore | Ironman Athlete Choo Ling Er
Singaporean female Ironman athlete, Choo Ling Er, will attempt to cycle 500 km within 18 hours. She has never cycled 500 km in one ride before; her longest was 250 km and the cycling component of Ironman that she is accustomed to is only 180 km. Making the 500 km road cycling endeavour an uncharted territory.

Singapore Singletrack: Bukit Timah and Woodcutters MTB
Music: Plan-B - Ill Manors (prodigy remix), Desire - Under Your Spell
ST visited from Shanghai and we went for a rumble in the jungle early on Saturday morning. Needless to say as soon as we set off it began raining and we got soaked. We had to wear our sunglasses to shield our eyes and enable us to see as the rain was so lethal.
Woodcutter's trail is by far, repeat, by far the best trail I've been show in Singapore. If someone knows of anywhere better please tell me.

I cycled across Singapore with an ofo Bicycle
This week, I set upon myself a daunting task: to cycle across my island home Singapore (total of 60km from West to East) with a simple rental bike and a bag load of gear under the scorching sun. Watch me suffer mentally/physically for 17 hours as I pass by some notable landmarks.
Happy 52nd National Day!

Random Sunday Cycling in Singapore!
Awesome day out with the girls today! :D It was scorching hot when we set out, then it started to rain, but that didn't dampen our cycling spirit! We had no choice anyway because we had to continue our ride back to where we rented our bikes. Lol~ In case you are wondering, we rented our bikes from the bike shop at Big Splash (East Coast Park), and then turned right onto the bicycle path which took us all the way to Marina Bay Sands, past the Marina Barrage! :)

It was Pierre’s first time to go BIKING and luckily he saw some Squirrels at the park. It was really an awesome day with Mommy Luan and Mama Jesa. We really had a good time biking around the park plus our day ended with a sumptuous dinner buffet at Furama courtesy of the birthday girl.
Happy Birthday Mama Jesa!!!
