Praia do Xai-Xai is approximately 10 km from the town of Xai-Xai and 220 km from Maputo. The massive reef running parallel to the beach provides natural protection against the strong waves at high tide and forms several small pools at low tide.
Xai-Xai Camping: Adjacent to Hotel Halley, the campsite of Praia do Xai-Xai is situated right on the beach among shady trees. The campsite offers a restaurant and bar area, where you can enjoy peri-peri chicken or watch the latest sport event via satellite TV. Basic 4 and 2 bedded reed huts; all with single beds are on offer. Guests must use the central ablutions in the campsite. A central braai and wash up area is located among the reed huts. The camp also boasts one en-suite fully equipped self-catering chalet. Praia do Chongoene: The spectacular Chongoene reef, which is approximately 70 meters offshore and 3 km long, offers safe swimming and serves as a platform for reef and game fishing. Chongoene, which is adjacent to Xai-Xai, is known worldwide for its huge barracuda catches as well as a great variety of other game fish. The coral reefs are wonderful and will introduce you to the untouched wonders of Africa's East Coast marine life, either through scuba diving or snorkeling. Chongoene Holiday Resort offers 2, 4 and 8 bed self-catering log cabins high on the dunes within the coastal forest overlooking the spectacular bay and reef. The campsite is set right on the beachfront among shady trees. Some of the camp sites offer barracas which can be used either as a kitchen or lounge area. Hot and cold water ablution facilities with flush toilets are available.
Xai-Xai Beach hotel: High on the dunes between Xai-Xai and Praia de Chongoene the spectacular Xai-Xai Beach hotel is situated. The hotel is constructed out of wood and thatch that blends in with its surroundings, and is build on stilts overlooking the idyllic Indian Ocean. The chalets are scattered around a fresh water pool and connected by pathways.

FutVal en Xai Xai , Mozambique , Septiembre 2019
El lunes 2 de septiembre tuvieron lugar en la Escuela Secundaria de Xai Xai, en la ciudad de Xai Xai, capital de la provincia de Gaza, dos talleres de formación para actualización de entrenadores de FutVal y para la formación de nuevos profesores. Participaron entrenadores de fútbol y profesores de Educación Física de distintos distritos de la provincia, con más de un centenar de profesionales que conocieron por primera vez la metodología y una veintena de entrenadores que renovaron sus conocimientos. Con todos se compartió una reflexión sobre el sentido de educar en el pensar, el sentir y el hacer y se practicó en el campo de juego las técnicas de la propuesta formativa.
El martes 3 de septiembre se realizó un Encuentro de FutVal en la Escuela Secundaria de Xai Xai con la participación de 250 niños y 50 profesores de distintos distritos de la provincia de Gaza. Durante el evento, los niños pudieron experimentar de un modo lúdico los valores de esfuerzo, espíritu solidario, honestidad, identidad, respeto, resiliencia y trabajo en equipo. Estos profesores tendrán ahora la oportunidad de aplicar estas técnicas de formación en valores en las escuelas de sus distritos, multiplicando el alcance de esta propuesta educativa a través del deporte.

Complexo Palmeiras is ideally situated along a saltwater lagoon with white sandy beaches and calm waters in the village of Bilene, formally know as San Martino, about 180 km north of Maputo.
esplanade overlooking the calm waters of the lagoon is a very popular spot to enjoy a drink or a meal observing all the various water sport activities.The Coconut Bar offers a wide variety of drinks where you can challenge someone to a game of pool or watch TV via satellite. Accommodation is available in chalets, situated among shady trees overlooking the lagoon.The chalets consist of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and can accommodate 4 people. The chalets are not self-catering but braai facilities are available. Guests must provide their own cooking utensils, stove and braai equipment. A room with plug points is provided for visitors who' bring their own freezers.Campsites are available under shady trees with easy access to the beach. Ablution facilities with hot and cold water and flush toilets are provided. The 27 -km long lagoon with its beautiful beachfront is the ideal spot for family holidays, where you can participate in various water sports. The mouth of the lagoon, usually blocked by a massive sandbank, is best reached by boat, although a long difficult 4X4 track does allow you access to the beach and the open sea. A qualified dive instructor with a fully equipped boat is available for those who want to explore the magnificent reefs in the area either diving or snorkeling. Deep-sea fishing in the area is also very popular and boats can be chartered at the resort. Bilene is an excellent destination for all waters port enthusiasts especially those who want to ski, sailor just enjoy the beauty of the lagoon on a barge trip.
Praia do Sol:
Praia do Sol is an Eco friendly resort situated on the stunning shores of the Bilene lagoon. The resort is located 2 km outside the village of Bilene itself and although situated on a dirt road the resort is easily accessible with any vehicle. Praia do Sol is a popular holiday destination where you can enjoy peace and tranquility. Not only for a memorable holiday but also as a most enjoyable stopover on your way north. Friendly and helpful staff will make you feel comfortable with that personal touch. The restaurant and bar has an open patio situated right next to the beach -the ideal place to meet for a sundown cocktail. Adjoining the bar area is the boma with a sparkling fresh water pool - a life saver on hot and humid days. Various types of thatched timber and reed chalets are on offer to suit your needs. The en-suite studio chalets consist of one room with a double bed. The lounge area, with a single bed, has a veranda overlooking the lake. The deluxe chalets consist of 3 separate bedrooms, two double and one twin. These chalets are en-suite with a lounge area and veranda. All chalets are set among lush vegetation, secluded and with spectacular views of the lake. A well stocked bar adjoining the restaurant brings all the guests together, creating a very friendly and social atmosphere. Accommodation is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. You could choose to play volleyball or just lay about all day on the pristine lagoon beach. The resort also provides a barge for day trips and sunset cruises. There is a ferry, which takes guests to and from the resort to the ocean. There are excellent dive sites to suit everybody's taste - from shallow reefs to caves, overhangs and gullies filled with abundant coral and sea life. Fishing and many other water sports such as windsurfing, paddle skiing, sailing, water skiing and jet skiing are just some of the activities on offer. Explore the beauty of the lake and its surroundings by canoe while observing the magnificence of the fauna and flora the region has to offer.
