Bilger's Rocks Grampian PA 12-12-15
This is one of the coolest places in PA that I have ever visited. You have to be attentive as to where you are placing your feet especially if you have little ones with you, but the experience is well worth it. Bilge's Rocks are about 20 minutes outside of Clearfield not far from Curwensville.

Clearfield River Walk Project
Mid March but very cold and windy day. Sorry for the noise but could not be helped.
The County National Bank is having their grand opening today and tomorrow. I understand they are giving away $l,000 to one lucky winner of their drawing. Think I will stop in today as I could use that!
I am excited about this project. I especially like the idea of a small hotel with a pool right in town along the Susquehanna River.
Update...As of May 2015 a sidewalk/tree project (3 million) is being completed and I would guess the River Walk Project (5 million) will start very soon. 4 buildings have been demolished as of this date and I am keeping video of the progress for a post when finished.
Clearfield County Commissioners fixing ATA bus c
Reported by: Deven Clarke
DUBOIS, Pa. -- People who rely on the ATA bus service to get around Clearfield County will be able to continue doing so, at least until the summer.
The question of whether commissioners would renew the contract for the fiscal year was in limbo.
Some of the main issues had to do with fixed bus routes not being efficient and the lack of communication when it comes to hearing those concerns.
But now, those issues are being worked out.
The ATA is the main source of public transportation throughout Clearfield County, but county commissioners said there are some flaws in the system that recently threatened continuation of bus service throughout the county.
Issues with transparency on the board, nothing to do with the drivers, mainly the administration with the way ATA was being run and had been run for many years, said Commissioner Joan McMillen.
McMillen, who now sits on the ATA board, said the ATA was not responding to concerns about fixed routes riding around empty or with only one or two people, leaving other areas where busses may be needed.
Take it to maybe the Mahaffey Senior Center and bring those folks into town to shop, get things they need in Clearfield and go back, maybe go to Houtzdale, maybe got to Karthaus, said McMillen.
There were talks of shorter contracts which would have threatened financial support from the government for the ATA and even not contracting with the bus company at all.
The issues are now being addressed and the commissioners approved a contract until June.
But we also have put them on notice that if we do not continue to see them working with us to rectify our concern then it would not be renewed, said McMillen.
The details are still being worked out, but there is a good chance that there could be some major changes to the ATAs fixed routes throughout the county.
