Townsville, Australia: Crockodile at Billabong Sanctuary
This tour guide was nuts, but he lured out a crock from the murky water at the Townsville animal sanctuary... it was enjoyable to watch. The first time the crock came out of the water, he reeeally lunged at the guy, and i didn't have my camera on. oh well. enjoy!

CROC NEAR MISS ATTACK ON HANDLER, BILLABONG SANCTUARY, TOWNSVILLE AUSTRALIA
My sister Sally got this near miss while recording feeding at the TOWNSVILLE BILLABONG SANCTUARY.
This was one rather scary moment for all watching, Jacques the trainer was explaining how Crocs are opportunistic hunters and will wait until their prey comes to them until they attack as they tire quickly. Jacques was also explaining that Crocs are not very fast nor do they have logical thinking brains, they just sit, wait and attack when they are close enough to launch.... WELL after that speech he put it to the test when he went to walk out to a section of the swamp with the intent of using a tree as cover, the Croc rushed him and Jacques fell over, giving the crock a very close chance of getting a bit of extra lunch!!!
Over all our experience was amazing with Croc, Koala, Snake and Wombat handling as well as feeding Kangaroos and other Australian Native Animals all part of our day, the sanctuary s a defiantly a recommended visit point if your ever coming to Townsville.
Wombat at the Billabong Sanctuary outside of Townsville, Australia
A male and female wombat (got to hold the male later in the day) hanging out in their enclosure. The male paces back and forth which usually is a sign of stress. He's been there since he was a baby so I can't blame him. He was very docile, considering they can be killers! The female apparently was not so nice.

A crocodile being fed by a ranger at the Billabong sanctuary in Townsville, Australia. Quite an interesting video. I have never seen crocodiles lunge so high to get food!
