The beautiful Biloxi Lighthouse in Mississippi
Biloxi, in Mississippi is a small, beautiful, well planned town which impressed us in the one day we spent there. The beaches are serene, clean and not overcrowded. The lighthouse that is featured in this hyper-lapse has its own story to tell on how it withstood the rigors of time and has always stood as a beacon of hope to the town of Biloxi. 'The lighthouse has been kept by female keepers for more years than any other lighthouse in the United States.'
This hyper-lapse was captured on Pixel 3 XL using the DJI Osmo Mobile 2.
Lighthouse Pier Biloxi Beach Mississippi
A sunny and windy day at Lighthouse Pier on Beach Boulevard in Biloxi. Named for the white lighthouse that boldly sits just in front of the pier, it has become a spot for not just fisherman. Many walk the pier just to see the waves crashing, for relaxation, or for a couple's retreat. Find more to do in Biloxi, Mississippi at

Homeless At Lighthouse Pier, Biloxi MS
Homeless At Lighthouse Pier, Biloxi MS, August 3, 2019
This is a video of some of the homeless guys I met at Lighthouse Pier in Biloxi. I actually saw Kenny the night before I made this video and kind of stepped right over him. Not everyone there is homeless but most of them are. Several stay at a shelter at night and come down to the pier during the day. Kenny seemed to know them all. He's like the caretaker of the pier and greets everyone that walks by very respectfully.
I'll have a link to another video that explains what led me back to Lighthouse Pier. In the meantime, my prayers are with these guys that they may Christ and get the help they need. Most often it's our poor choices that land us in places we never intended to be, and the reality is that we suffer the consequences thereof. But there is hope! And the group from the church that brought water and milkshakes to these guys are spreading that hope.

Exploring Biloxi, Gulfport & Long Beach, Mississippi
The film on Biloxi and Hurricane Katrina was really interesting, shows at 10AM and 2PM at the Biloxi Visitors Center. Was able to take good photos of the most iconic landmark in Mississippi, The Biloxi Lighthouse from the terrace of the visitor center. The marina in Gulfport was kinda neat, but there was not much action at that time. Able to see Friendship Oak, a 500 year old tree inside the campus of The University of Southern Mississippi.

Biloxi (/bɪˈlʌksi/ bi-LUK-see) is a city and one of two county seats of Harrison County, Mississippi, United States (the other seat being the adjoining city of Gulfport). The 2010 United States Census recorded the population as 44,054,[3] and in 2016 the estimated population was 45,975.[4] The area was first settled by French colonists.
The city is part of the Gulfport–Biloxi metropolitan area and the Gulfport-Biloxi-Pascagoula, MS Combined Statistical Area. Pre-Katrina, Biloxi was the third-largest city in Mississippi, behind Jackson and Gulfport. Due to the widespread destruction and flooding, many refugees left the city. Post-Katrina, the population of Biloxi decreased, and it became the fifth-largest city in the state, being surpassed by Hattiesburg and Southaven.[5]
The beachfront of Biloxi lies directly on the Mississippi Sound, with barrier islands scattered off the coast and into the Gulf of Mexico. Keesler Air Force Base lies within the city and is home to the 81st Training Wing and the 403d Wing of the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

This relaxation video gone bad shows how we can control somethings, but not all things....
I was shooting this peaceful relaxing beach scene with the setting sun and a group of kids decided to plop down next to me. mind you they had the entire beach, but they decided to rest right next to me within 3 to 5 feet of my filming. So I decided to make peace with it and let it run anyway... Here's the result, sorry for the kids... :)
