Binuatan Creation: Weaving in Puerto Princesa Palawan
Binuatan is from the Filipino word “pagawaan”. This place is a souvenir and handicraft store that creates hand-woven products using Palawan’s indigenous fibers and grass. You can see them weaving and try to it for yourself.

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY: Sadrine Stoelzaed
To promote sustainable food production practices in the Philippines. I chose this advocacy because I believe that we are now in the crossroads of survival and preservation of our kind. Mankind’s survival is relative to how we feed our ever growing population. Our apparent need to feed our population has led us to great advances in food technology and has oftentimes threatened the very place which sustains us.
Hunger and malnutrition affects every aspect of human development but it should not be at the expense of our mother earth. While it is variable to feed everybody all over the world, we have to consider our Earth, the only one we have is deeply threatened by unabated land use and dangerous food production practices. Therefore, I say now is high time to be more conscientious of what and how we feed ourselves.
One solution we can consider is put up small community organic farming, a great way to start making community less dependent to big agribusiness that are also facing challenges to meet the growing demand for food. Therefore minimizing the stress to soil damage, water and energy availability. Another is a massive educational campaign for farmers and consumers as well as lobbying government to provide environmentally sound food production practices.
Farming now more than ever must feed more people sustainably, we can no longer feed our families at our mother earth's expense because we only have one. Therefore, we must rethink our farming methods, reduce the use of chemicals in farming and learn to re- use and recycle our limited resources. And above all respect our Earth.

Half-Day Tour: Puerto Princesa City | Puerto Princesa, Palawan | Philippines | We.Are.Wanderful
Half-Day Tour: Puerto Princesa City
Puerto Princesa, Palawan | Philippines
We.Are.Wanderful
NOVEMBER 17, 2014—We were on the last day and last leg of our Puerto Princesa Family Tour which started from Sabang Beach 3 days ago. We just came from Dos Palmas earlier on this day and we are all set to do a half-day city tour of Puerto Princesa before we fly back to MM later in the afternoon.
For our half-day tour we managed to visit a decent number of interesting places in the often-overlooked Puerto Princesa city proper, although I'm sure that if we had more time we could have managed to visit a few more other equally interesting places.
So here's a line up of the places we visited in Puerto Princesa City, in the order we visited them, during our short half-day city tour:
1. Crocodile Farm (formally known as the Palawan Wildlife Resuce and Conservation Center)
2. Baker's Hill
3. Binuatan Creations (Palawan Weaving)
4. Plaza Cuartel
5. the Puerto Princesa Cathedral
6. Baywalk
7. WW2 Memorial Museum
We started from the wharf right after arriving back to the Palawan mainland from Dos Palmas. At the end of our tour we went straight to the Puerto Princesa airport just in time for our flight back to Metro Manila.
This is a short video presentation of our short city tour in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Enjoy watching.
