Krakow Hotels - Sheraton Krakow Hotel Review - Club room with club lounge access
Krakow Travel Vlog. This is a hotel tour / review of the Krakow Sheraton in Krakow, Poland. The tour includes views of the Club Room, Club Lounge, breakfast buffet and the huge open plan lobby. During April around Easter we stayed at the Krakow Sheraton, which is a five star luxury hotel located on the banks of the Vistula River, next to the Wawel Castle in Krakow, Poland. We stayed in one of the Club Rooms which also included free access to the hotel´s Club Lounge and had also pre-ordered the breakfast buffet.

OUR HOTEL IN KRAKOW & WHAT DOES IT COST?
We stayed at the Sheraton Grand Krakow. Visit Tripadvisor to view photos, read reviews and see WHAT THIS HOTEL COSTS (the following link is an Advertisement link which will take you to the TripAdvisor site)
The video footage begins outside the hotel where the viewer is given a view of the hotel from outside. We then move inside to the hotel´s lobby / reception area (guests with Club Rooms have their own check-in area). We then proceed up to the fourth floor where all Club Rooms are located. The footage follows the passage way to our Club Room, where the viewer is given a tour of the room, the bathroom and the view of the Vistula River and Wawel Castle. The room offered some nice touches among which included a welcoming plate of fruit and a Krakow Dragon bath toy in the bathroom (the Dragon is the symbol of Krakow).
Notable facilities in the room included a Nespresso machine, an Ipod Bluetooth speaker for iPhones and Android devices, a 32 inch television with free on-demand movies for Club Room guests and a Cisco systems IP telephone with various information provided on it´s LCD screen. Other room facilities included an Iron, Ironing board and a PIN code electronic safety box. The bathroom offered the usual amenities found in luxury hotels (actually most hotels nowadays). After the first night we were given double amenities as we are a two people in the room. The marble floored bathroom also included a scale and a bathtub and shower. Unfortunately the bath and shower were not separate (one would expect that of a 5 star hotel) but none the less the water pressure and heat regulation worked very well and there was plenty of hot water. All in all a very nice room!
The video footage then focuses on the breakfast buffet which was fantastic, it is difficult to think of anything that someone could miss from the huge selection of the Sheraton Krakow Breakfast Buffet. Food is beautifully presented and includes cold cuts (meats and fish), yogurts and cheeses, fruit, fresh juices, an egg station from were you can order eggs prepared to your liking and a bread / toast pastry area and more. The breakfast is very worthwhile and give the traveler lots of energy for a long day of sightseeing around Krakow.
Next the footage moves on to the Sheraton Krakow Club Lounge from where lounge guests are treated to free non and alcoholic beverages and snacks and a private lounge area exclusively for club guests. Alcoholic drinks included red wine, white whine and beer (surprisingly there was no Sparkling Wine which we have had at a competing hotel´s Club Lounge). Drinks and snacks in the Club Lounge are self service and during the day the snacks available with a drink are very dull indeed. The day snacks consist of chips, crackers, some marinated mushrooms / olives and some nuts (we would have expected some cakes or sandwiches which again we have experienced at a competing hotels Club Lounge - the Krakow Sheraton should definitely consider adding some small sandwiches to the daytime snacks available in the Club Lounge). During the evening the Club Lounge makes up for the dull daytime snacks, when the table is filled up with delicious snacks / Canapés, desserts soups and a few hot fish and meat snacks. These snacks were beautifully presented and very tasty (big thumbs up to the Krakow Sheraton´s evening snack selection in the Club Lounge). The Club Lounge also includes a small business area where travelers have access to use (free of charge) two computers and a printer. We hope that you enjoy watching our tour / review of the five Star Krakow Sheraton hotel. This hotel is very well located just a short walk from many of the main attractions in Krakow City. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would stay here again if we return to Krakow, Poland - however we do hope that the daytime snacks in the Club Lounge will be improved.

POLAND: KRAKOW: POPE JOHN PAUL II VISITS PARENTS' GRAVE
Natural Sound
As his tour of his homeland draws to a close, Pope John Paul the Second has visited the tomb of his parents in Krakow.
The pontiff also said Mass at the church where he gave his first service as a priest.
And later in the day he visited a new heart surgery clinic that has been named after him.
In what many believe will be his last visit to Poland, Pope John Paul the Second visited his parent's grave in Krakow on Monday.
There is no mention of the pope, but people visit the tomb to pay their respects to his family, even when the pontiff is not in town.
A choir sang as the 77-year-old kneeled before the tombstone and prayed.
The simple, granite gravestone is engraved with the names of his mother, father and brother.
Just 10 metres (25 feet) away are the graves of Red Army soldiers and a monument dedicated to their heroism in World War Two.
The pope lit a candle in front of the tomb.
Sprays of roses in the Polish and Vatican colours - red and white and yellow and white - decorated the modest tomb.
The pope began the day with a private Mass in a chapel at Wawel Royal Cathedral, where he held his first service as a priest in 1946.
Later in the day, he opened a new heart surgery clinic, that has been named after him.
The pontiff met with recent transplant patients and told them he understood what they were going through first hand.
The ageing pope has gone through a series of operations in recent years, including a hip replacement and removal of what the Vatican says was a benign colon tumour.
Many Poles fear this could be the last visit for John Paul.
But church officials suggested he may return next year, when he has been invited for the one-thousandth anniversary of the city of Gdansk on the Baltic coast.
The pope returns to Rome on Tuesday after spending 11 days in his homeland.

Andel's Cracow hotel - double room andels Krakow hotel
After reading all the great reviews I couldn't wait till I get to this hotel. I do like design I think rooms looks great but after staying there for a few days I did notice many things I didn't like about hotel. Fistly positives it is great location, centre of the city, close to public transport and huge shopping centre next door which is bonus :). Very good breakfast, freshly made coffe and lovely muffins. Now I have to mention negatives: After paying a lot for a room you still have to pay extra for a internet - 10 euro a day it's rip-off. All the prices seems to be like in a 5 star hotel, not a 4. I travel a lot and usually when breakfast is paid for you can have it in the room without extra charge but they charge 6 euro for a bringing tray in the room, and everything else you order even if it is one beer that cost 3 euro you still have to pay 6 for a room service, stupid idea put me off from ordering in the room. Having kettle in the room would be handy if it was suplied with some tea or coffee I am affraid it wasn't so having kettle was useless. This was the worst housekeeping I ever dealt with, changing towels that's all they did. Even after complaining to front desk room still was dirty. Even novotel which is 3 star hotel cleans better then that. So generally I do not recommend, it looks nice but think twice before you book, because looks isn't all :)).

Panama Travel
Panama Travel - Panama is a country in Central America with coastlines on both the Caribbean Sea and the North Pacific Ocean, with Colombia (and South America) to the southeast and Costa Rica (and North America) to the northwest. It's strategically located on the isthmus that forms the land bridge connecting North and South America. It controls the Panama Canal that links the North Atlantic Ocean via Caribbean Sea with North Pacific Ocean, one of the most important shipping routes in the world.
The ease of travel and wide array of experiences are making Panama one of the most attractive emerging tourism destinations in the world. In just one week, visitors can enjoy two different oceans, experience the mountains and rainforest, learn about native cultures and take advantage of vibrant urban life. The capital, Panama City, is a modern, sophisticated metropolis that resembles Miami and has established commerce, arts, fashion and dining. Fodors, Frommers and National Geographic have all recently began publishing guides for Panama, only the second country in Central America, behind Costa Rica, to have such extensive travel coverage.
Panama is known as the Crossroads of the Americas due to its privileged position between North and South America. The indigenous meaning of the country's name, abundance of fish, reflects Panama's reputation as a paradise for water sports enthusiasts and eco-tourists alike. As the isthmus connecting two massive continents, Panama's flora and fauna is incredibly diverse. For example, Panama was recently named the country with the most bird species in the world; over 900. Panama's many indigenous tribes are still thriving, living in the same ancient manner as their ancestors, making its cultural fabric exceptionally rich.
Panama's government has strong ties to the United States and strongly supports business, development and tourism. The International Monetary Fund applauds the country's diversified economy and predicts it to have one of the strongest GDP growth rates in the world for the next several years. Panama is known for its highly developed international banking sector, with about 80 banks from several countries establishing local branches, including HSBC, BBVA and Citi Bank. Currently undergoing expansion, the Canal continues to drive Panama's service-based economy and remains one of the most important transportation links in the world. In addition to the country's strong economic base, Panama's physical infrastructure, including modern hospitals, airports and roads, is much more highly developed than its Central American neighbors.
Panama boasts a large expat community; about 25,000 US citizens live in the country. It is worth spending some time reading up on Panama and communicating with locals, expats and fellow travelers alike before arriving in the country. Consider joining some local forums or blogs for expats or the Central America Forum. Many of the local blogs can give you the most current info on: floods, earthquakes, trail closings, and the best restaurant reviews.
Enjoy Your Panama Travel!

One Day in Warsaw - Old Town - New World street 13-01-2018
The Warsaw Old Town (Polish: Stare Miasto and collectively with the New Town, known colloquially as: Starówka) is the oldest part of the capital city. It is bounded by the Wybrzeże Gdańskie, along with the bank of Vistula river, Grodzka, Mostowa and Podwale Streets. It is one of the most prominent tourist attractions in Warsaw. The heart of the area is the Old Town Market Place, rich in restaurants, cafés and shops. Surrounding streets feature medieval architecture such as the city walls, the Barbican and St. John's Cathedral.

Hotel Review: Novotel Katowice Centrum, Katowice, Silesia, Poland - January 2019
Hotel Review: Novotel Katowice Centrum, Katowice, Silesia, Poland - January 2019.
I stayed at the Novotel Katowice Centrum in January 2019, two of us stayed for 4 nights on a room-only basis, which cost a bargain price of £137. Upon arrival check-in was fast and efficient. The elevator up to room 325 was decorated with woodland and had bird sound - very soothing. All was good so far, but unfortunately when we got into room 325, we were very disappointed by the poor and outdated quality of the room. The carpet was worn, the decor was old fashioned, the room smelled of cigarettes, the hair-dryer fell apart, there was no safe in the room and this was not the Novotel standard that I have grown to expect. I decided to request a room change at reception, and this was granted with no fuss whatsoever, so we were moved to room 803, which was MUCH nicer and exactly the standard that I expect from Novotel.
Room 803 had a great view towards the city, it was fully refurbished in a modern business style, it had a large king-sized bed, sofa, ample plug sockets, the bathroom was nicely refurbished also. The hotel had good fitness facilities, the gym was being refurbished, but there was still ample equipment, and the swimming pool was excellent, and mostly empty during our stay. The breakfast buffet was expensive at 49 Zloty per person per day, so we just tried it once to see what it was like. It was a good buffet, but I would not want to pay so much for it on a daily basis.
This film features views of the hotel building, reception, lobby, the lift / elevator, a detailed inspection of rooms 325 and 803, detailed views from room 803 over Katowice, the restaurant, breakfast buffet (which cost 49 Zloty per person), the bar, fitness area and swimming pool.
This was a great hotel, the staff exhibited excellent customer service to me, and once I got the modernised room I was very happy there. If you are wanting to stay there, my recommendation would be to make sure that you request a newly refurbished room on a high floor with a city view.
