מבחר עופות על רקע נופי ישראל : בסרט קטעים נדירים של קטות, ריקוד החוברה הנמצאת בסכנת הכחדה בחולות עזוז . מעוף עיטי ערבות, עיטי שמש וחיוויאים, בהרי אילת בנדידת האביב. שקנאים ועגורים באגמון החולה. נדידת חסידות בעמק בית שאן. קטע נוסף מראה את יופים של השרקרקים הגמדי והמצוי וכן את זרזיר הארבה ועורב אפור מאכיל גוזל קוקיה.
בשדה בוקר אנו צופים בהתכנסות נשרים, זאבים, שועלים, עיטי ערבות ורחמים, סביב פגרי חיות שהונחו בתחנה על מנת לסייע למינים נדירים אלו להתקיים.
לסיום ריקוד הזרזירים המופלא שצולם בחורף במערב הנגב .

A Visit to the Bird Sanctuary in Eilat

I was visiting Israel and Jordan in March 2018. Millions of migrating birds land there in southernmost Israel and Jordan to rest and “refuel” before continuing their journey from Africa onwards to Europe and Asia.

The birds stop to recuperate after their desert odyssey. Visitors and locals alike can watch the birds from concealed hides. I was able to see lots of different species.

The Agamon Hula Ornithology (Bird Watching) and Nature Park, is situated in the heart of the Hula Valley. The valley bordered by mountain ranges, to east the Golan Heights and to the west the Naphtali Range, is critically located in the center of the Afro-Syrian Rift and one of the most significant bird migration routes in the world. During every migration season (fall and spring), over 500 million birds from more than 400 species migrate in the skies above us. Thousands remain at the Agamon during the winter, and others choose to nest here during the spring and summer.

In the area of the Agamon Hula a unique eco-system of regional and international importance has developed. The park is a highly significant and prominent center for eco-tourism in Israel and throughout the world, and a model for cooperation between nature, tourism and agriculture.

Visitors can tour the park on a variety of bicycles, golf carts, or on guided tours in a Safari Wagon and special tours, according to the season.

Agamon Hula invites you to a unique and magical experience, in nature without partitions where you can observe thousands of unique birds, animals and plants, in their natural habitat.
