As part of the Forest Conservation and Community Development project (FCCDP) the Dutch advisor Mr. Willem Quist carried out a field trip to Gaoligongshan National Park in order to investigate patrolling techniques of the management staff and providing advice. Poaching, illegal grazing of cattle and lifestock, uncontrolled collection of forest products, illegal logging, forest fire and forest conversion into agricultural fields are all serious matters threatening this precious national park. In addition, rangers have the task to monitor biodiversity and the disturbance of ecosystems.

Unofficial Angry Birds theme park in China
Read the article: Angry Birds, the popular puzzle video game created by Finnish developers Rovio Mobile, has spawned a somewhat unexpected (and definitely unofficial) theme park. The physical 'real life' Angry Birds attraction, located at the Window of the World public park in Changsha, Hunan province of China. Rumors have swirled for months that a themed Angry Birds offshoot would be announced by Disney or Six Flags, but this is likely not what the makers, and investors, had envisioned.

Inside the Mission to Save the Rare Helmeted Hornbill From Poachers | National Geographic
What does it take to photograph the helmeted hornbill? Patience. National Geographic photographer Tim Laman teamed up with Rangkong Indonesia and spent months in the field just to get a glimpse of the extremely rare bird. The helmeted hornbill is one of 57 hornbill species in Africa and Asia. It’s found only in the lowland forests of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and southern Thailand. The helmeted hornbill stands apart from the other hornbills because its casque—the horny helmet above its beak—is mostly solid with a thick layer of keratin. But that unique trait might also be the birds' undoing. Softer than ivory and easily carved, hornbill casques are in high demand in Asia, to be fashioned into beads, pendants, and intricate works of art. Illegal poaching has caused this bird to be on the critically endangered list.

Welcome to my YouTube Channel and I hope you enjoy my videos. One of my favorite relaxing moments is when I get to sit and watch other videos.
I really enjoy watching anything to do with beauty like hair, make-up and fashion. Many families share their everyday lives and moments that are special to them. This I find very interesting and if there is anything I can help anyone, I am here for you. Some gaming systems are also amusing to me.
My son and a few friends introduced me to YouTube and I thought to myself that this would be something that I would enjoy doing. I don't have a definite topic to my videos but I do love photography and I take videos and pictures of anything beautiful that I find in this wonderful world which we all share.

Hong Kong (Chinese: 香港; literally: Fragrant Harbour), officially Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, is an autonomous territory on the southern coast of China at the Pearl River Estuary of the South China Sea.[11] Hong Kong is known for its skyline and deep natural harbour.[12] It has a total area of 2,754 km2 and shares its northern border with the Guangdong Province of Mainland China. With 7.2 million residents of various nationalities,[note 1] Hong Kong is the world's fourth most densely populated sovereign state or territory.
After the First Opium War (1839–42), Hong Kong became a British colony with the perpetual cession of Hong Kong Island, followed by Kowloon Peninsula in 1860 and a 99-year lease of the New Territories from 1898. Hong Kong was later occupied by Japan during the Second World War until British control resumed in 1945. In the early 1980s, negotiations between the United Kingdom and China resulted in the 1984 Sino-British Joint Declaration, which paved way for the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong in 1997, when the territory became a Special Administrative Region of China with a high degree of autonomy[13] under the principle of one country, two systems.[14][15]
Hong Kong is among the world's most significant financial centres,[16] and the world's number one tourist destination city.[17] Its service sector dominated economy is characterised by free trade and low taxation, and has been regarded as one of the world's most laissez-faire economic policies. In fact, the territory has consistently been listed as the freest market economy in the world.[18] While Hong Kong ranks within the top 10 in GDP (PPP) per capita, it also suffers from severe income inequality and world's most unaffordable housing. As the 44th-largest economy (in purchasing power parity terms) in the world,[19] Hong Kong issues the world's 13th most traded currency, the Hong Kong dollar.[20]
The Hong Kong Basic Law is its quasi-constitution which empowers the region to develop relations and make agreements directly with foreign states and regions, as well as international organizations, in a broad range of appropriate fields.[21] It is an independent member of numerous international organizations, the IMF, WTO, APEC, FIFA and International Olympic Committee, to list a few.
Hong Kong is a centre of modern architecture, and has the largest number of high-rises than any other urban agglomeration in the world.[22][23] Hong Kong has a highly developed public transportation network covering 90% of the population, and the highest in the world.[24][25] Air pollution remains a serious problem.[26][27] Loose emissions standards have resulted in a high level of atmospheric particulates.[28] However, Hong Kong people enjoy one of the longest life expectancies in the worl

Let's Tour Guangxi, China! - Day 3, Part 1 - Guposhan National Forest Park!
The next stop on our tour was Guposhan National Forest Park. The forest throughout the park was absolutely gorgeous and very lush with greenery. There are two major waterfalls in the park, both of which are featured in this video. Traveling through the park is mostly handled by speeding around in little carts because apparently walking is for squares.
The park also features a small temple to a local deity, situated at the top of 99 stairs. The temple has an associated brewery, where they offered us an alcohol tasting of liquor ranging from 5-60% alcohol content. Given that I can't stand the taste of alcohol, I could only handle 5% and 15%, but those that did try 60% said it tasted like rocket fuel.
One building in the park offered a free tropical bird show and had some speakers which, at one point, started blasting Asian dance music throughout the park. A field of flowers near this building is home to a huge number of butterflies, most of which will let you get very close to them before flying off.
The park also houses a small village that was used as a set for a Chinese television show Lovely Dreams. Nearby is the Monkey Zoo where you can find a few macaques in a cage. That part wasn't too entertaining. Also, the park has a lot of signs that say, No not disorder rubbish here. We liked those.
Overall, the scenery alone is enough to make the trip to this park worthwhile.
