THE PATH OF WILDNESS
The Path of Wildness is easy to find
The course of a stream
Leaves blown in the wind
A beast's track through the brush
And the direction of our first inclination
The Path of Wildness is an answer and response to a prescribed way of life which may leave some individuals with a sense that their living is little more than a series of pre-determined, step-like episodes between birth and death. The stages of living between these events: childhood, adolescence, adulthood, parenthood and senior are themselves natural and in accord with the needs of the species and most individuals. Many find their satisfaction in living this course and to these individuals I have little or nothing to say. Others though long for something more; something innate, genetic and seemingly calling. Adventure and change can give a degree of satisfaction and relief yet even these may seem too tame. To those who feel drawn to something beyond the entertainment and stimulation of senses I offer a walk along The Path of Wildness. Don't bother penciling the event in your schedule, preparing a pack with goodies and supplies or even inviting a friend along, for this experience is along the course of your first inclination and you must surely always go alone.

Most people live in apartment. Busy underground system. Bullet train from Osaka arrives in Tokyo. Children go to school. Draughtsmen in large factory. Aerial views of Tokyo. Bicycle factory. Electrical components, women workers, television factory. Vacuum cleaners. Washing machines. Shops full of electrical goods. Housewives do the shopping. Fish shop vegetables. street plans on corners as there are no house numbers. Luxury shops. Commuter rush home. Shoe shine. Roads and highways, children play. Evening meal is traditional, low table, family dog, watching television, reading the paper.
A Pop-Up Japanese Cafe With Robot Servers Remotely Controlled by People With Disabilities
In December of 2018 I visited a temporary robot cafe, but it's not the type of Japanese robot cafe that comes to mind to most. Rather than a robotic show, this was a cafe where the robot waiters were in fact avatars for people with disabilities, who remotely controlled them from their homes.
This cafe was part of an initiative by The Nippon Foundation, Ory Lab Inc., and ANA Holdings Inc. It allowed people with ALS and severe disabilities to be able to work and interact with the world.

I was invited by my great food friend David ( with Sir Panwa hotel in Phuket to come for one of the greatest food pop-ups ever in Thailand. The first night we had sushi by Master Chef Hiroyuki Sato, and it was by far the most amazing sushi meal omakase experience I’ve ever had. The next night was Kobe beef night, and along with a selection of the best wagyu cuts, the highlight of the night was a giant hunk of Kobe Beef A5, the top of the best.
But before the Kobe beef evening started, we first spent some time during the day at Sri Panwa. I took a few swims, had breakfast, and then for lunch we went into Phuket town with David and the chefs, and at the legendary Raya Restaurant. The food is quite good, and you’ll find Phuket style southern Thai food there.
Wagyu Mafia - Wagyu Mafia were the stars of the event. And they are originally Kobe beef dealers, so they know the best cuts of beef and the best farmers. Now they have a members restaurants in Tokyo as well, but still deal in the best wagyu beef. They brought a selection of wagyu beef from Japan including a $3000 (that’s the wholesale price, probably lots more at a restaurant), Kobe beef A5 (which is the best of the best) ribeye. It was one of the most insanely delicious things I’ve ever tasted in my life.
