Biryong Waterfall in Sokcho, Gangwon Province, South Korea
Biryong Waterfall (비룡폭포) is located 2km from a ticket booth of Mt. Seorak.
It is not that difficult to walk up to the destination and the beautiful scenes while hiking are breathtaking.
The waterfall itself looks like a flying dragon.
The legend has it that long age a dragon lived at the waterfall. The farmers around the place suffered a severe drought so they offered a sacrifice of a maiden to the dragon. It flew away ever since and they had no more water shortage.
* 飛竜瀑布
飛竜瀑布は、江原束草市雪岳洞にある滝で雪岳山国立公園の入口から2.4Km距離に比較的近くに位置している。
コース自体も子どもと一緒に行くことができるほどによく整理されているコースです。
龍が天に昇ったと言って飛竜の滝と呼ばれる呼ばれる。
* 비룡폭포
비룡폭포는 강원도 속초시 설악동에 위치한 폭포로 설악산 국립공원 입구에서 2.4Km 거리로 비교적 가까이에 위치해 있다.
코스 자체도 어린이와 함께 갈 수 있을 정도로 잘 정리되어 있는 코스이다.
용이 하늘로 승천했다고 해서 비룡폭포라고 불리워진다.

Since it is dry season, I didn't make it to the waterfall but instead take our time to enjoy the autumn colors along the trail. Due to time constraint I completed about 75% of the trail route and returned the same way.

This video is a compilation of the two trips I took to Seoraksan and Sokcho in the Summer and Fall. Sokcho is one of two cities in Korea where Pokemon Go is available. When the news broke of Pokemon Go release in Sokcho, many people flocked there to play.
Recently, my friends visited in Korea so I decide to take them to Seoraksan to show them the mountain range since they are hiking enthusiasts. One of them sprained her ankle a couple of days prior so we opted for the cable car instead. I will add a link below for more info about the cable car, Seoraksan and Sokcho.

La chute d'eau Biryong se situe :
Dans le Parc National du Seoraksan, Seorak-dong, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do
강원도 속초시 설악산로 (설악동)
L’eau tombant de la magnifique et bruyante chute d’eau ressemble fort à des dragons qui s’envolent vers les cieux, raison pour laquelle on l’a appelée Biryong (dragon qui s’envole). Un sentier relativement large traversant une forêt de bambous mène à cette chute d'eau, ce qui en fait un endroit parfait pour une randonnée. Depuis le pont Biryonggyo, situé tout au fond de la vallée Cheonbuldong, vous pourrez faire une promenade d'une demi-heure, vous aperceverez alors sur votre gauche la chute d’eau Yukdam, composée de 6 chutes d’eau et d’un étang profond. A 300m de là, se trouve la chute d’eau Biryong entre le ravin étroit aux contours déchiquetés. De même, si vous suivez le Towanggol, vous arriverez à une très grande chute d’eau à 3 niveaux, la chute d’eau Towangseong, mais du fait du sentier extrêmement dangereux qui y mène, il était désormais impossible d'y accéder, le chemin ayant été fermé au public.

Transports publics locaux :
Prenez un bus N° 7, 7-1 pour Seorak-dong au centre-ville de Sokcho et descendez au terminus (10 minutes d'intervalle, 30 minutes de trajet)

Seoraksan National Park in Autumn (Must visit in Autumn in Korea)
I go to Seoraksan National Park in Autumn as many times as I can.
This year, I was only able to visit twice without customers, one time on 30th of September and this time on 20th of October.
It is really beautiful, you will never regret coming here in autumn, try trails rather than cable car, although cable car is also worth riding it.
