Keelung Taiwan Bisha Seafood Market Day 3 Food Vlog
Day 3 of our Taiwan Trip. We are roaming around the northern parts of Taiwan, mainly going back and forth between Keelung and Taipei city. On day 3 we went to Bisha live seafood market, which generally is alot more lively, however it was a bit quite when we went early in the morning. Lots of dried seafood along with fresh catches of the day. We didn't get to go to the restaurants, but we've heard it is quite good and you can possibly BYO fish that you've bought there!
We hope to film more of the local foods and some amazing locations that Taiwan has to offer! This is simply a video that is meant for fun and hope that people can get to see a few extra glimpse of an island that is under-rated! Hope you all enjoy~~!!

海鲜市场 || TO KEELUNG || GUIHOU FISH MARKET || SEA FOOD MARKET || FISHING PIER ||
If you are heading to Yehliu, Gui Hou Fish Market is midway in Wanli district. Do drop by here for fresh seafood especially their famous Wanli Crabs. Checkout on when the Wanli Crabs season is. They have lots of seafood where you can pick and buy and the seafood vendors will recommend you to the restaurant where you can cook your purchases. We went to the restaurant on the extreme right where they do your purchases in whatever way you wanted to eat.????????
Keelung Fish Market with Ryohei Hieda of Shoun Ryugin, Taipei
Be it fish, seafood, vegetables or meat, Japanese chefs are famously protective of the “fruits” of the Japanese terroir, preferring to import produce from the Land Of the Rising Sun rather than to source locally.
However, a Japanese chef in Taipei has dared to be different. Ryohei Hieda is the head chef of Shoun Ryugin, an offshoot of the renowned Ryugin in Tokyo. Before he opened Shoun Ryugin, Hieda-san combed the bountiful local markets and farms for produce like sweet ayu, bluefin tuna, bonito, amadai, abalone as well as vegetables such as edamane and meats like forest pigeon. After an intensive period of local sourcing, which included working with local farmers to improve the quality of ingredients to be used in his restaurant, the chef now souces almost all his ingredients from within Taiwan.
In this short film, Hieda-san brings us to the Keelung Fish Market where he buys bonito fish and shows us how he incorporates the ingredients to prepare a secret dish in his restaurant.

LIVING IN TAIWAN | Fish Market Shopping 基隆魚市
I have never been to a fish market in Taiwan. In fact, I have never been to a fish market period. It was a Saturday morning and my mom just had to wake us all up to head to the city of Keelung for some grocery shopping. She decided that she was out of fish and that we need to supply ourselves with the freshest fish possible. Keelung just happened to be a mere half an hour bus ride away. A built-in harbour, this city is definitely where you could enjoy the best fresh caught seafood. Though, if you don't think fishy smell is tolerable, I strongly suggest you skip this market with history and simply head to a local commercial grocery store with fluorescent lights.

BEST SEAFOOD. Shipai MRT (Taipei)
RED LANTERNS OUTSIDE. Seafood restaurant near Shipai MRT station, Taipei did a good job. Pearl perch barbecued, the 'red fish' became a 'steamed fish' in soup. Also demonstrates how a seemingly simple-sounding English word like sell can be confusing or not understood, Having a local friend in Taiwan is a great asset.

never-ending story(ep65) - fish market, donggang, taiwan 19/6/14
music by : whistling weasel
donggang is a taiwan fish port famous for tunas among other varieties of seafood. how lucky we are, still have ample opportunities to enjoy the food from the sea. one more generation later, our children may have to substitute pondfood for seafood, if we are lucky enough not to pollute our land so badly that even underground water also toxicfied.
she was not crazy about eating fish, because she's always paranoid about the bones. for her to eat fish, he had to pick and pluck out the bones. she also not keen in eating prawns, unless he fed her peeled ones. one eater, another deboner/desheller. they complemented one another perfectly, in a way.
no more perfecter than :
he liked oyster and she liked sea cucumber.

Donggang (東港) Fish Market, PingDong, Taiwan - 2/1/2014
Donggang is one of Taiwan's main harbors. The time the fishing boats set out varies. If you want to see the boats return and witness the memorable sight of the catch being unloaded, ask one of the local fishermen when the boats will return and feel the sense of excitement as you wait to see what they bring back. After unloading, the catch is lined up on the dock and covered in ice to keep it fresh. Crowds of buyers and onlookers create a bustling scene, punctuated by the shouts of auctioneers and buyers. It is well worth visiting the fish market to get a taste of the local fishing harbor culture.
