Plaj “halk plajı” statüsünde olduğu için girişler ücretsiz. Hatta plaj içerisinde bulunan pek çok işletme daha çok müşteri çekebilmek için şezlong ve şemsiye ücreti de almıyor. Bir şeyler yer içerseniz onların ücreti alınıyor.

Ulaşım: Araç ile gelmek isteyenler Bodrum merkezden Bitez tabelalarını takip ederek kolaylıkla plaja ulaşabilirler.
Toplu taşıma ile gelmek isteyenlerden Bodrum merkezden kalkan Bitez minibüslerine binerek yaklaşık 10 dakikalık yolculuk sonrası buraya ulaşabilirler. Minibüs ücreti ise kişi başı 5 TL.
Bodrum’un en gözde plajları arasında bulunan Bitez Plajı, Bitez Yalısı olarak da anılmaktadır. Bodrum merkeze yaklaşık 8 kilometre uzaklıkta bulunan plaj merkeze en yakın plaj alternatifleri arasındadır. Bodrum Yarımadasının güney kısmında yer alan plaj kuzey rüzgârlarından etkilenmemektedir. Bu sebeple genelde sakin ve dalgasızdır.
Gümbet – Yahşi arasında bulunan plaj bir tarafında masmavi Ege denizi diğer tarafında yemyeşil portakal ve mandalina bahçeleri ile bakılmaya doyulmayan bir manzaraya sahiptir.
Bitez Plajı Özellikleri
sezon ortası ve tatil zamanları oldukça yoğun bir plaj. Tercihen Mayıs ve Eylül aylarında gitmenizde fayda olduğunu söylememiz gerek. Temmuz ve Ağustos aylarında iğne atsanız yere düşmeyecek derecede kalabalık oluyor.
Bitez Plajının deniz ve kumsalına. Kuzey rüzgârlarından etkilenmediği için çoğu zaman dalgasız, temiz ve sakin bir denize sahip. Temizlik konusunu sezon ayları dışında değerlendiriyoruz. Kalabalık olduğu zamanlarda kulaç atmaya yer bulamazken bulanık olmasını da normal karşılamalıyız. Suyu diğer Bodrum Plajlarına nazaran daha ılık. Su seviyesi de yavaşça derinleşiyor. Bu sebeple çocuklu aileler için ve yeni yüzme öğrenenler için uygun olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. Plaj kısmı ve deniz tabanı incecik kumlarla kaplı plajın portakal ve mandalina bahçeleri ile süslenen doğal bir manzarası olduğunu da söylemeden geçmeyelim. Son olarak diğer Bodrum Plajlarında olmayan oldukça uzun bir yürüyüş yolu bulunuyor. Denizden sonra çıkıp günün yorgunluğunu bu yürüyüş parkurunda turlayarak çıkarabilirsiniz.

Bodrum Harbour and Bodrum Market in Turkey - Attractions in Bodrum
We are in Bodrum, Turkey. Its a hot July summer evening around 20:00, just before sunset, and we are visiting Bodrum Harbour and Bodrum Market the center of the evening nightlife in Bodrum City for holidaymakers and locals alike. Our video begins with a few images of Bodrum Market before the actual footage starts. We start up in the market alleys with their green tree and vine ceilings and move down towards the central harbour where there is a hustle and bustle of activity. People are enjoying a late dinner after a long day at the beach or a day spent exploring Bodrum or the cities surrounding areas (Gumbet Beach, Camel Beach, Ortakent, Bitez Beach etc.).
In the Bodrum Harbor video footage watch out for the ticket area (called Bodrum Ferry Boat Main Office) for the ferry boats which depart from Bodrum Harbour to the island of Kos in Greece, the island of Rhodes in Greece, the island of Kalymnos in Greece and Datça in Turkey (Datca). Next to the Bodrum Ferry Boat Main Office watch out for the footage of Bodrum Castle Museum. This is one of Bodrums main attractions and is very well worth a visit (allow at least 2 hours to walk around in and around the castle walls). The view from the castle walls over the City of Bodrum, its harbour, mountains and the Aegean Sea is spectacular. This Castle was built by the Knights Hospitaller starting in 1402 as the Castle of St. Peter or Petronium.
The video footage then continues down the harbour promenade where you can feel the atmosphere of a warm summer evening and people enjoying their holiday.
Listen also for the adhān (the call to worship) being transmitted from the loudspeakers installed on this Bodrum Minaret (in Turkish: Minare). The adhan is called from the musallah, or prayer hall, via microphone to a speaker system on the Minaret. (source: Wikipedia)
