Russia: Visitors to Serov's 'Girl with Peaches' kept warm by EMERCOM
Russia's Ministry of Emergencies Situations (EMERCOM) opened a warming centre and field kitchen outside Moscow's iconic Tretyakov Gallery, Saturday, to provide hot tea and coffee to visitors waiting hours to see a rare exhibition from one of Russia's best known painters, Valentin Serov.
SOT, Colonel Konstantin Dyalov, Head of Russia's Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM) in Central Administrative District of the city of Moscow (Russian): Central Administration of Russia's Emergencies Ministry in the city of Moscow with the help of the prefecture of the Central Administrative District provides warming for those people who come to the exhibition. For this purpose the warming centres were organised and visitors are provided with hot tea.
SOT, Galina Soklova, Exhibition visitor (Russian): What do we expect from the exhibition? Impressions. Of course, we are familiar with Serov's paintings from illustrations, catalogs. We need to see it with our own eyes, the live paintings. Because those who have already visited the exhibition and seen them, say that it is a completely different experience - the paintings and the faces are glowing. And that is exactly what we have come to see.

Today is the second last day of my Russian trip. I stayed with Roman and his friend Sasha. Both are seasoned hitchhikers and Couchsurfers. After editing a video in the first half of the day, I went with Roman to have a glimpse of Novosibirsk. With a population of around 1.5 million people, It is said to be the third largest city of Russia.
In this video, Roman takes me to some random places in Novosibirsk. You can see how is a usual day in this city. We take a minibus, which is called ‘Marshrutka’ in Russia, to reach the city center. Then we visit a library. After that, he goes to attend a meeting, and I explore the city on foot. I reached a museum of Nicholas Roerich, the great traveller, philosopher and a painter who spent a significant part of his life in Naggar, Himachal Pradesh.
There is something about Sberbank of Russia, Churches, Christianity, Differently abled people, Metro, Trams and other city transportation in this video.

Facts about St. Petersburg of Russia (Tourism)
Saint Petersburg is situated on the Neva River, at the head of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea. With 5 million inhabitants in 2012, it is Russia's second-largest city after Moscow. An important Russian port on the Baltic Sea, it has a status of a federal subject. The 18th and 19th century architectural ensemble of the city and its environs is preserved in virtually unchanged form. For various reasons (including large-scale destruction during World War II and construction of modern buildings during the postwar period in the largest historical centres of Europe), Saint Petersburg has become a unique reserve of European architectural styles of the past three centuries. Saint Petersburg's loss of capital city status helped it retain many of its pre-revolutionary buildings, as modern architectural 'prestige projects' tended to be built in Moscow; this largely prevented the rise of mid-to-late-20th century architecture and helped maintain the architectural appearance of the historic city centre.
Saint Petersburg is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list as an area with 36 historical architectural complexes and around 4000 outstanding individual monuments of architecture, history and culture. New tourist programs and sightseeing tours have been developed for those wishing to see Saint Petersburg's cultural heritage. The city has 221 museums, 2000 libraries, more than 80 theatres, 100 concert organizations, 45 galleries and exhibition halls, 62 cinemas and around 80 other cultural establishments. Every year the city hosts around 100 festivals and various competitions of art and culture, including more than 50 international ones. Despite the economic instability of the 1990s, not a single major theatre or museum was closed in Saint Petersburg; on the contrary many new ones opened, for example a private museum of puppets (opened in 1999) is the third museum of its kind in Russia, where collections of more than 2000 dolls are presented including 'The multinational Saint Petersburg' and Pushkin's Petersburg. The museum world of Saint Petersburg is incredibly diverse. The city is not only home to the world-famous Hermitage Museum and the Russian Museum with its rich collection of Russian art, but also the palaces of Saint Petersburg and its suburbs, so-called small town museums and others like the museum of famous Russian writer Dostoyevsky; Museum of Musical Instruments, the museum of decorative arts and the museum of professional orientation.
The musical life of Saint Petersburg is rich and diverse, with the city now playing host to a number of annual carnivals.
Ballet performances occupy a special place in the cultural life of Saint Petersburg. The Petersburg School of Ballet is named as one of the best in the world. Traditions of the Russian classical school have been passed down from generation to generation among outstanding educators. The art of famous and prominent Saint Petersburg dancers like Rudolf Nureyev, Natalia Makarova, Mikhail Baryshnikov was, and is, admired throughout the world. Contemporary Petersburg ballet is made up not only of traditional Russian classical school, but also ballets by those like Boris Eifman, who expanded the scope of strict classical Russian ballet to almost unimaginable limits. Remaining faithful to the classical basis (he was a choreographer at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet), he combined classical ballet with the avant-garde style, and then, in turn, with acrobatics, rhythmic gymnastics, dramatic expressiveness, cinema, color, light, and finally with spoken word. #st.petursburg #russia #tourism
Red square, Moscow a wonderful capital city of Russia | Heritage Sites of Russia
Red square | Moscow a wonderful capital city of Russia | Heritage Sites
Wonderful Moscow!! Red Square a city square in Moscow, Russia. It separates the Kremlin, the former royal citadel and now the official residence of the President of Russia, from a historic merchant quarter known as Kitai-gorod. Red Square is often considered to be the central square of Moscow since the city's major streets, which connect to Russia's major highways, originate in the square. This place is the main attraction in Moscow. My host dropped me at this location , I spent the day by walking and explored the heritage sites of Moscow.

Federal highway R256 Chuiski Most Viral,
Federal highway R256 Chuiski Most Viral,
Federal highway R256 Chuiski hit the top ten most beautiful roads in the world by the popular science magazine National Geographic.
Every year, thousands of Novosibirsk travel to Altai for one of the world's most beautiful roads. For the unprepossessing track names: Novosibirsk - Tashanta, M52 or R256 - is the incredible beauty that should see at least once in everyone's life. This ancient road - the first thread, connecting Russia and China many centuries ago. Continue on Chuysk - like having to cross the whole of Russia.
The path begins in Biysk, with birch groves and villages, one of which was born the writer Vasily Shukshin. And in a hundred kilometers, is to pass Gorno-Altaisk, it seems as if you find yourself in the time of development of Siberia: the stormy waters of Katun, rocky gorges and green valleys. Starting mountain taiga. You turn to the left - you will get to the Teletskoye Lake, to the right - to the magnificent Belukha, where Roerich Shambhala searched on the way to the Himalayas. And if you go straight all the time - will look Kurai steppe at the foot of North-Chuya ridge. If desired, you can drive a few kilometers and walk up to the eternal snows. The Kurai steppe meet last islands of the taiga, and already the pass begins the real steppe, where there are yurts and nomads wandering camel caravans. This trip is not necessary to plan for a week, after each turn - an occasion to separate a little trip.
References to the current Chui tract, formerly known as Mughal, you can find more in the Chinese thousands of years ago. From then until the beginning of XX century, it was just a mountain path, which was used by merchants and pilgrims journeyed to the sacred tree in the upper reaches of the Katun River. Wheeled road from Ongudai to Kosh-Agach (255 km) have arranged only by 1903. Today Chuiski - one of the few roads in the world, awarded his own museum. It is located in a building Biysk Local Lore Museum - here you can see archive documents and photos, surround the layout of the road, pictures and dioramas.

Vitaly Valentinovich Bianki — was a popular children’s writer and a prolific author of books on nature.
Bianki's father was Valentin Lvovich Bianchi , an entomologist and curator at the Zoological Museum of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His three sons were at home in its halls. On a summer vacation Vitaly Bianchi went on his first forestry trip, and became a passionate outdoorsman. He graduated from the Natural Science Department of the Physical and Mathematical Faculty of Petrograd University in 1916 with a specialization in ornithology, as well as studies in art at the St. Petersburg Art Institute to assist with the drawing of plants and animals.
Bianchi served in the army in 1916 and joined the Socialist-Revolutionary Party in 1917. In 1917 moved to Biysk, where he was forced into the army of the Kolchak royalists. He deserted and lived under a false name Vitaly Belyanin until the eventual expulsion of the Kolchak regime. His double name Bianki-Belyanin remained on his passport until the end of his life. He worked for the Commission for the Protection of Monuments of Tsarskoye Selo, and was sent in spring 1918 to Siberia and the Volga, where he worked in the summer of 1918 in Samara for the newspaper People .
After the Soviets came to power, Bianki worked in Biysk in the Department of Education at a regional museum where he served as director. He also worked as a school teacher for Comintern III. He was arrested twice in 1921, and in fear of further arrest, he moved his family in 1922 to Petrograd.
