The Best of Sweden - BJÄRRED BEACH
BJÄRRED, a beautiful small village very close to the sea but also close to both LUND (10 km) and MALMÖ (20km), and just 1 hour drive from COPENHAGEN (Denmark).
Here is where the famous Swedish longest bath-diving bridge is located. It is 574 m long and named Långa Bryggan (long bridge). During the earlier times, the people of Lund had to travel by train called Ångtåg just to be able to enjoy the sun and salt water beach. There is a very much appreciated playground in the middle of Birch trees. This area is also the southern starting point of Bjärred's popular Strandpromenad (beach walk). To go there, one has to turn across Bjärred's old railway station beside the Summer Kiosk. There are available parking spaces along the road and further in the Beech woods.

According to Rune Bunte article fisheries and fishing villages in Skåne has Kåseberga mentioned in the literature during the Middle Ages, together with inter alia Skanör, Falsterbo, Malmö, Skåre, Ystad and Simrishamn such as regulated fishing for fisheries and fish trade.
The same article had Kåseberga years 1684 nine rowing boats and 18 crewmen. In 1858 there were 24 actual fishermen in Kåseberga and these households had a combined income of 12 600 kronor. In addition to these fishermen were a large number of binary's fishermen, for example, fish farmers, who could quickly adapt to different work situations, depending on business cycles.
To Kåseberga had quite a great importance as a fishing village shows, inter alia, by an aggregate ranking as to the number of fishermen, the cost of fishing as well as profitability in the years 1876-1960. For this suggests that Kåseberga among Skåne about 50 towns and fishing villages remained as No 17 and 18 in the years 1881-1890 and then was greater than for example Simrishamn as fish producer. Even during the years 1931-1940 was Kåseberga as No 17 and 18 in the ranking of Skåne fishing villages while the ranking was 39 years 1916-1920 for the years 1951-1955 to go up to number 14.

Give them a wooden path, so things begins to happen. Yes, this is a popular site. Even now, early September, this picturesque pier attracts people to roam.
