Roundway Down Wiltshire by Mavic Pro Drone
Stills photographer for many years but drones have me intrigued. So this was my first attempt at filming at Roundway Down in Wiltshire November 2017.
Learnt a lot from this one flight, so hopefully better results next time.
Also, first attempt at video editing; now that's going to be a steep learning curve too!

My sincere personal thanks to Aynsley for the permission to use the cameras.
Aynsley Lister - Guitars, vocals

Album Equilibrium released March 2009.
Aynsley picked up the guitar at eight and played his first gig aged thirteen. A year later on a family trip to San Francisco, he was jamming at 'Lou's Bar' on Pier 49. Brought up on his father's record collection, he had learned to play by ear and would sit for hours in his bedroom playing along to old 45s of Freddie King, John Mayall and Eric Clapton. He spent the next few years honing his craft. He has taken these key elements and mixed them with a more current and melodic lyrical approach.and plays the rocking blues, with passion and vitality, and his fine song writing is soul searching and heartfelt.
By the time he was 18, he had worked his way through various bands and decided to form his own. The band recorded two albums, but it was the second of these two that started things happening. Aynsley had begun writing and it was the three original numbers of this album that attracted the attention of Ruf Records' head Thomas Ruf. In the summer of 1998, they signed a deal.
Aynsley has played alongside blues legends such as Buddy Guy, John Mayall, and Robert Cray aswell as big name pop artists such as Bryan Adams and Fun Lovin Criminals. His recorded work has seen him working with Producers Jim Gaines (Santana, SRV) and Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia)
2006 saw Lister recording in Clarksdale, Mississippi and Memphis Tennessee where he worked again with Jim Gaines on the Ruf Records collaboration Pilgrimage. With Gaines producing Lister debut for the label in 1999, it was almost 7 years to the month that they had previously worked together. In September of that year his album Everything I Need was released stateside in preparation for his debut tour. Listers fourth studio album UPSIDE DOWN is the first to contain all originals.
Album Equilibrium released March 2009.

Broad Town White Horse
Broad Town (1864) three miles south of Royal Wootton Bassett.
A chalk figure white horse measuring 86ft by 61ft situated on the hill to the east of the village of Broad Town was completed in 1863 by a local farmer William Simmonds. This Horse was quite neglected until the formation of the Broad Town White Horse Restoration Society in 1991. The Horse can be reached from footpaths in the village.

Early Animal Rights Film: Slaughter House (1930-1939)
WARNING: this is a very disturbing film. You will need a strong stomach!
Produced by the Council of Justice to Animals and Humane Slaughter Association, 42 Old Bond Street, London W1.
Long title describes how the movement of animals after they have been made unconscious should not be taken to indicate pain. So long as the animal has been rendered unconscious before being stuck with a knife it cannot feel. The aim of the Humane Slaughter movement is to ensure that every animal killed for food is rendered unconscious by means of a mechanical killer before it has a knife plunged into its body. First extract shows a pig being made unconscious before being stuck with a knife. Three men in overalls hoist the pig up on a hook and then make a slit in its neck with a knife. The pig seems to struggle violently and eventually is still after a few twitches. Second extract shows a pig being stuck with a knife while on its feet and fully conscious. Two men hold the pig while another makes a large slit in its throat. The pig struggles and rolls around in its own blood. A sheep is shown being killed with no previous stunning. Title reads: The operator in this case is happily an expert but he has had to gain his experience at the expense of numberless unfortunate animals. The sheep is laid down in a wooden frame and its neck is slit. It moves around for some time. A calf is hoisted up by its hind legs then hit on the head with a heavy stick while fully conscious. Its throat is then slit and the blood pours out. A calf is shot in the head then hoisted up as it twitches. Its throat is slit. The Humane Killer is then seen at work. A sheep is made unconscious with a stun gun then has its throat slit. It seems to struggle less. A pig is stunned with a mechanical killer then stuck. It twitches then dies.
There is an appeal at the end of the film to people who wish to help the Society end the needless suffering of animals. It is suggested that people a) make a subscription or donation, b) distribute literature to their friends or c) urge their Member of Parliament to support the Slaughter of Animals' Bill. The Society's address is repeated.
Cuts exist - see separate record for details.
