The history of grape growing in Central Otago: Nick Mills of Rippon
The history of plantings in Central Otago is described by Nick Mills, with reference to Jean Désiré Feraud, but a focus on the people in the early 1970s. Grape growing in New Zealand's Central Otago for wine production began in earnest in the 1970's with Ann Pinckney, Alan Brady (Gibbston Valley), Rolfe and Lois Mills (Rippon), Verdun Burgess (Black Ridge) and Bill Grant (William Hill, now Shaky Bridge).
Here, Nick Mills provides more history of the second wave of growth in the region, explaining how vineyards spread through the area.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
World War I (often abbreviated as WWI or WW1), also known as the First World War or the Great War, was a global war originating in Europe that lasted from 28 July 1914 to 11 November 1918. Contemporaneously described as the war to end all wars, it led to the mobilisation of more than 70 million military personnel, including 60 million Europeans, making it one of the largest wars in history.
