We show you the best things to do at the black sea coast of Bulgaria in this episode and give tips for excursions and tours you should do when you visit.
Bulgaria has so much more sights than just the beaches like golden sands and sunny beach - it also has more things to do than just drinking cheap alcohol and joining the parties:
The ancient towns of Sozopol and Nesebar are amongst the oldest cities of Bulgaria and are very nice located - totally worth a visit!
Varna is one of the biggest cities of the country and therefore a bit more hustling and bustling, but if you head out of town e.g. to Raponggi Beach you also find some quiet spots to relax.
Especially the coast north of Varna with it's cliffs is very stunning, the following spots have been our favorite places at the black sea coast:

- Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort
- Botanical Garden of Balchik

????????????????We are Karma from Sweden and Scott from New Zealand. We are minimalist nomadic explorers with a passion for outdoor adventures. Rock climbing and thru-hiking or long-distance hiking in particular. When we are not out on a long-distance hike or out exploring the trails and crags of the world, we do van life in our self-build van conversion Dory, a VW LT 28 bus.
We are on a personal journey we like to call a life reboot. We are living our dream and we hope to inspire you to live your dream too!
NOMADS FOR LOVE: Due to visa restrictions, we are not allowed to legally live in the same country until one of us immigrates, which in our case is an up to 2-year-long process. Long-distance relationships are not all they are cracked up to be—we have been there already! So we made up this crazy plan of traveling and living full time in a van, jumping borders every 3-months when our tourist visas expire. Just so we can be together! So, after converting a 25-year-old VW bus to our new home we simply drew a boundary on a map of where we cannot go and then started driving south, chasing summer. No research. No plan. Guided by curiosity as much as necessity.

Bulgaria: 'World's oldest known intact shipwreck' found in the Black Sea

An Anglo-Bulgarian team of archaeologists inspected a well-preserved Greek merchant ship, believed to be as old as 2,400 years, at the bottom of the Black Sea, off the Bulgarian coast, on Wednesday.
The 23 metres (75 feet) long ship is reportedly lying at around 2000 metres (6561 feet). Its reported excellent condition is due to the ship being in waters devoid of oxygen. It is reportedly hailed as considered the world's oldest known intact shipwreck'.
