GOLD!! Warrandyte State Park - Gold Heritage Walk (A Brief Visual Tour) [Fourth Hill, Warrandyte]
Warrandyte State Park - Gold Heritage Walk (A Brief Visual Tour). Located about 30 mins East of Melbourne towards the Yarra Valley
A reasonably easy bush and track walk that could be done in 40 mins but we saw enough interesting sites and relics that it ended up being a 6km, 2 hour trek. The whole area is covered in old gold diggings.
This video shows the mines of the are along with the Miner's Hut, Mine Shafts, Diggings & the monument marking the area where the first gold was found in Victoria that sparked the Gold Rush of the Mid 19th century.
There is a lot of info online if you go to the following site;

A teenage girl has been filmed during brutal hazing at CFA station
SHOCKING footage of a teenage girl being dragged by her hair and pushed to the ground by several men has emerged after a violent hazing incident at a Bendigo CFA station in Central Victoria.
The 17-year-old volunteer firefighter was filmed being pushed underneath a parked fire truck and sprayed with fire sprinklers while a group of men watched on at the Bendigo fire station last month.
CFA chief executive Frances Diver said she was “sickened” by the footage.
“It (the footage) tells you there is a culture problem in that brigade, that people think this is acceptable behaviour,” she told 3AW’s Neil Mitchell.
It is understood the teenager was not injured during the incident and requested the matter not be taken further.
But Ms Diver said the CFA had a responsibility to “take action” and had referred the matter to Victoria Police.
Four volunteer firefighters involved in the incident were suspended immediately, Ms Diver said.
“I am horrified at the idea that a young girl has been brutalised in that way,” she said.
Victoria Police confirmed Bendigo Crime Unit detectives were made aware of the incident at Eaglehawk fire station but said no formal complaint had been made and no offence detected.
“The matter is now complete,” Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
Emergency Services Minister James Merlino said as a parent he was “disgusted” by the incident.

Snake man catches big deadly male Tiger Snake in a Warrandyte bedroom!
Hot weather and snakes enter homes to get out of the heat. Melbourne's first run of 30 C days has the SNAKE MAN Raymond Hoser flat knacker catching snakes in homes across Melbourne. As the only 24/7 snake catcher in Melbourne, the SNAKE MAN is the go to person for snake removal in Melbourne. In this video he is looking for a snake last seen going onto a bed and under a pillow. When he finds it, the snake is under the blankets in bed. There was a terrified elderly lady at the home and she was very happy that the SNAKE MAN had kept her safe. The is seen here grabbing the deadly serpent with his bare hands as it flees and it is notable that in spite of the bad reputation of Tiger Snakes as being aggressive, this one and most others simply want to run away from people.
Location was Warrandyte Ringwood Road, at an address near the Warrandyte shopping village.
PS Do not copy what you see as without the skill of the SNAKEMAN imitation may result in death.
