I'd always seen it on Google Maps and drive past it on the way to my mum's house every week. I finally decided to pack Raffy and make a little pit-stop one of those weeks when I was making my way to my mum's place.
It's a great little retreat in suburban Melbourne, and when you're inside the sanctuary, you legit feel like you're deep in the Aussie bush.

Blackburn Lake Sanctuary is an example of regenerated and remnant bushland in suburban Melbourne, Australia. It is located in the suburb of Blackburn. It is the most significant of the many parks in the City of Whitehorse, featuring areas of regenerated bushland and various walking tracks.
This vid was created for more of a personal level so that one day that I am old I revisit the adventures I had with my bestie bree.

In Blackburn, einem Vorort von Melbourne/Victoria (Australien), liegt der Lake Sanctuary. Der Stausee hat eine wechselvolle Geschichte und wurde erst in den letzten Jahren renaturiert. Heute hat sich wieder eine grosse Anzahl einheimischer Tiere angesiedelt. So sind Pacific Black Ducks (Anas superciliosa) ebenso zu finden wie Herons (Reiher - Ardeidae), Sugar Glider (Kurzkopfgleitbeutler - Petaurus breviceps) und Possums.
