Why I Became A Brewer | Erik Hystad | TEDxHelena
The story of one moving from being a teacher to a brewer.
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was the beer that turned Erik Hystad onto Craft Beer. He was raised in a blue-collar home of die hard Bud Light drinkers, who would enjoy a Corona with a lime on special occasions. As the craft beer revolution grew, so did Erik’s love for the new and interesting flavors in craft beer. After dabbling in home brewing for a few years, Erik decided to go pro and joined the production team at Blackfoot River Brewing Company as an assistant brewer in 2012. He became a brewer in 2013 and still works there today. When he is not at the Blackfoot working or enjoying a beer with friends, Erik loves hiking and biking on the Helena trail system with his dog Pokey, his wife Steph and his new son Thor.

It was the largest teen demonstration in Montana's history, and culminated in the delivery of petitions signed by more than 55,000 Montana residents requesting financial support for the Project from the State Legislature. The petitions were accepted on the steps of the state capitol by Speaker of the House Bob Bergren and state Senate President Robert Story. U.S. Senator Max Baucus, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, and Montana Attorney General Steve Bullock were also in attendance.

Discover-Better Qualified-Helena MT-Avoid Holiday Scams-Late Payment
A financial export is a financial service provided by a domestic firm (regardless of ownership) to a foreign firm or individual. While financial services such as banking, insurance and investment management are often seen as a domestic service, an increasing proportion of financial services are now being handled abroad, in other financial centres, for a variety of reasons. Some smaller financial centres, such as Bermuda, Luxembourg, and the Cayman Islands, lack sufficient size for a domestic financial services sector and have developed a role providing services to non-residents as offshore financial centres. The increasing competitiveness of financial services has meant that some countries, such as Japan, which were self-sufficient have increasingly imported financial services.

Last Chance Gulch may seem like a name straight out of a television western, but for Helena, Montana, the name is a legacy. Four prospectors on the brink of quitting their search for gold finally discovered ore in a Western Montana stream in 1864. They named that stream Last Chance Gulch, and from their camp, a town sprang to life. Today Helena is a vibrant little city of 28,000, and it has been the state capital since 1875. When visiting Helena, tourists amble down Last Chance Gulch Pedestrian Mall, gawking at curiosities and perusing the locally owned boutiques and art galleries.
