Built in 1875 and still in use, it is 216 ft / 66m long, and is the longest operational wrought iron Bowstring bridge known in North America.
It crosses the north branch of the Thames River, withing walking distance of Eldon House.

Monday, 27 November, 2017. Moving day for Blackfriars Bridge in London, Ontario, Canada. This video was taken around 12:15 pm (Noon hour) from Harris park, from a height of around 190 feet AGL.
Yuneec Q500, with a modified GoPro from Peau Productions, using the 5.4mm lens.
Apologies for those of you who wanted a closer shot, but by law and safety standards, I have to keep a safe distance. However, i like this shot as it shows the whole site in context with the river and the surroundings
SFOC, insurance, etc, etc, etc, all in place. Also please note the height of my flight was roughly equal to the height of the cranes being used.v

Blackfriars Bridge Reopens
Blackfriars Bridge in London, Ontario, Canada was originally constructed in 1875. It is known as a wrought-iron bowstring truss bridge and is one of the oldest bridges in Canada. It has been extensively restored and is considered a heritage bridge. It reopened December 1, 2018 to pedestrians, cyclists and eastbound motorists.
