Lake District: Evening Serenity at Blea Tarn
A late evening visit to Blea Tarn, which is situated on the fell road between Great and Little Langdale. It is a very peaceful place, having all the qualities of a remote mountain tarn, whilst being accessible to all. It was once the haunt of local 'moonshiners'; distillers of illicit whisky, who perpetuated local ghost stories in order to keep people away from their stills. The tarn is now a site of Special Scientific Interest, and human activity there has been traced back some 3,000 years.

Lake District Walk - Blea Tarn - Side Pike
This is the video of a classic Lakeland walk, from Blea Tarn to Side Pike. We noticed it on a leaflet in the sticklebarn pub the day before and decided to give it a go. This was another exceptional walk that can be tailored to meet your own physical needs, literally do as much or as little as you like without disappointment. Then ownwarsds to the National Trust Stickle Barn Pub to celebrate our 5th year wedding anniversary and Kirs Birthday celebrations.(They even have a great selection of vegan options) The Sticklebarn is all about sustainability and this makes the place have a great feel to it.
We hope the you enjoy this video.

Lake District - The Langdales - Chapel Stile-Little Langdale Tarn-Skelwith Bridge-Elterwater round.
This is a video of a guided walk in Lake District. We start our walk from Chapel Stile in Great Langdale and walk to Little Langdale Tarn and Colwith Force in Little Langdale. We then walk on to Skelwith Bridge and Skelwith Force at the head of the two valleys then on to Elterwater and back to Chapel stile in Great Langdale. We did this walk on rather a rainy day so the waterfalls were spectacular with their thunderous white water spilling into the swollen River Brathay,

The Lake District | A little Walk around Blea Tarn and up the Side Pike | Langdale Pike Views
Beautiful day for a spot of Mindfulness and zoning into the Lakes and it's splendor.
Paul kindly agreed to take us up in his camper and we pitched up at Blea Tarn, a beautiful area where a lot of photographers get that perfect picture of the Great Langdales. Alas, the light wasn't great, but it just allowed us to chill and go for a nice walk and finally come back for a decent meal and a settle down.
The plan was to get up early to get the sunrise shot, unfortunately, the light and the weather was against us.
Totally chilling and enjoyable time

Blea Tarn & Side Pike
A walk around Blea Tarn (Langdale's) English Lake District and ascent of Side Pike
The Langdale Pikes, Lake District 17th January 2019
A walk in Great Langdale in The Lake District starting from the NT Car Park next to The New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel. The walk heads up to the Langdale Pikes ( Pavey Ark, Thunacar Knott, Harrison Stickle, Pike of Stickle & Loft Crag). The walk starts at the rear of the car park and follows Stickle Ghyll up to Stickle Tarn. I then walk around the tarn and head up the North Rake on to Pavey Ark and the rest of The Langdale Pikes. The return route follows the path from Loft Crag back down to the car park. Distance is around 4.5 miles.

Blea Tarn, Side Pike and Lingmoor Fell | Lake District Landscape Photography
I headed up to Great Langdale to climb up Side Pike. I'd watched a video by James Burns the night before and when I looked back from where I was stood at Blea Tarn I realised that I could head up onto the hill he made his video on.
I took a different route but got to the same place. You couldn't see as much from the top this time though
