Want to visit the real Iceland ? Sauðárkrókur is a town of around 3000 habitans and it is located in the North of Iceland, We took a tour around this beautiful town in the summer of 2012.
An article was written about the town in Reykjavik Grapevine. In Iceland's case, there are few places in the country—especially during summer—where you will find isolated, unspoiled pockets that tourists haven't extensively covered. Even in far-flung Breiðavík. That said, there are varying degrees of touristy-ness, and Sauðárkrókur is a very untouristy place to see (like most places situated far off from Route 1 that aren't the Golden Circle). What we discovered was a typical Icelandic country village sitting right on the water, one main street through the centre of town flanked by old houses and small businesses, light traffic, and surrounded on all sides by vast swaths of wilderness.

CBF and CBX into the sunset in Iceland

I took a midnight spin on the bike with good friend of mine and a neighbour to a place called Olafsfjardarmuli to enjoy the icelandic sunset on the northcoast of Iceland. Truly a great view and it's alot of fun driving in the bright Icelandic summer-night.

This was also my first time using the new GoPro2 camera, and I still don't know how to put credits and all the stuff on the videoclip in the VideoPad Editor I'm now using. But I will learn quick :-) ...I hope :-)

Went to iceland for a few hours with darrin. we didnt focus on filming alot but it was pretty damn fun, and we both learned a trick. darrin learned bennihanna and myself tuck knee and also stale fish thats not seen here.

Iceland by car | 22nd birthday | Budget Travel

This is how I celebrated my 22nd birthday!

I decided to do something different, something special... This year I booked a last-minute flight to Iceland and rented a car.

I've been able to drive all the way up to the north from Reykjavik crossing the middle of Iceland following the amazing F35 and then all around the coast clockwise.

I've been sleeping inside the car and in some hostels (only the last night I booked a hotel).

I can't describe how many beautiful landscapes I've seen and these videos actually are far from representing them.. There's only one way to understand how magical it is.. By going there, obviously.

One of the main reason why I enjoyed so much this travel was because of the midnight sun, that means that the sun never go down.. It's always light.. You're free to do whatever you want at what time you want.

But be aware that Iceland is everything but cheap.. Everything is at least twice as expensive as you can imagine.
