My first ever SOTA activation
This is a short video of my first ever 'Summits on the Air' (SOTA) activation, conducted on 3rd March, 2013, at VK5/SE-016, situated on the Fleurieu Peninsula, south of Delamere, near the Deep Creek Conservation Park. Stations worked were:- Peter VK3PF; Rhett VK3GHZ; Steve VK3MEG; Dave VK3VCE; Allen VK3HRA; Peter VK3ZPF; & Peter VK3FPSR. Operating on 7.090 MHZ on the 40 m band. I was using just 5 watts from a Yaesu FT-817ND, with the internal batteries, and a multi band vertical antenna. Photos/filmed on my iphone 5.
