Rec Diving: Cuba's Gardens of the Queen
Rec Diving just got back from a great ten day group trip to Cuba with Oceans for Youth and the Jardines Aggressor. After two days of land tours in Havana we boarded the new Jardines Aggressor for a week of diving the Gardens of the Queen marine park. The diving was fantastic! Healthy, beautiful reefs teeming with fish. Sharks on almost every dive. The marine park has done an incredible job protecting this area and gave us a glimpse of the caribbean of the past.
The Jardines Aggressor and crew were awesome as were the people from Oceans for Youth.

Cave diving in Cuba
Had a rare chance to dive some deep lava tubes in central Cuba. Had some minor issues, but overall very smooth, very little light as seen in the video. enjoy
DIVING FOR CONCH SHELLS IN CUBA!
Well it’s finally out last day in Cuba, and man do we pack it in. We started out the day driving the moped, way up into the mountains for a hike, that turned into bushwhacking, that lead us to what may have been a cocaine farm?! Take a look at the plants we are referring to and see if you can identify them.
Next we hauled our paddleboard down the beach…via moped, had an amazing paddle and even found a HUGE conch shell to take home as a souvenir. Finally, completely wiped out we headed out to dinner and danced the night away in Trinidad.

We just got back from our first group trip to Cuba. We spent the first two days exploring Havana with Oceans for Youth then spent a week aboard the Jardines Aggressor diving the Gardens of the Queen marine park. Getting ready to head back in a few weeks with our next group of Rec Divers. Thanks to Oceans for Youth and Aggressor for an amazing experience!
