Andersons Fire Trail || MTB Blue Mountains
We took a ride down the old Anderson's fire trail. A long descent into the bush ending up at the start of the Oaks trail. We took on the Oaks fire trail afterwards and racked up 60 k for the day.
There's some tips for finding the start of the trail. Start from wentworth falls and ride east, about 7km from the station is where the trail starts (make a right onto tablelands rd. and follow it until it turns into kings tableland rd.). Make sure you take a left at the old hospital. Loads of jumps along the way, river crossings, cliffs and a mega climb back up Bedford Creek. Luckily we found an extra caffeine gel along the way. :) Total k's covered = just over 60k!
Narrowneck - Blue Mountains mtb ride
Classic Blue Mountains mountain bike ride along Narrowneck fire trail in Katoomba (one way). Fabulous views. Highly recommended.
Did I mention the views? You'll see the Landslide, Narrow Neck, the Ruined Castle, the Three Sisters (if you look from the right spot near the gate), Jamison and Megalong Valleys, Kings Tableland, Southern Highlands, Mt Solitary, Kanangra Walls, Lake Burragorang (aka Sydney's water supply, Warragamba Dam), and more. On a clear day, and with good eyes, you can see the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Centrepoint Tower. This ride is hard physically thanks to the big hills, but isn't technically hard. Highly recommended.

Mission Impassable: Blue Mountains - a STEPS powered ride - Flow Mountain Bike
Let's load 'em up once again! For round three of our Mission Impassable series we were Blueys bound. Yes, there are some gems out there in Blue Mountains just west of Sydney, and we'd picked out two completely contrasting rides to explore on our STEPS powered bikes. The iconic Narrow Neck was up first, followed by the unreal descent and horrible climb of Mt York.
MTB Bluegum Swamp ft ECMBR || Blue Mountains
Yet another stellar ride with East Coast Mountain Bike Riders with 6ks of single trails followed by 14ks of firetrail with countless gorgeous lookouts and a long speedy descent into a beautiful fern-filled forest.
If you're ever keen to meet some like-minded mtb lovers and enjoy the great outdoors, then search up the meet-up group: East Coast Mountain Bike Riders. Always a good time!

Blue Mountains Part 4 - Catalina Park Raceway, Katoomba. (Australia)
Catalina Park is a disused motor racing venue, located at Katoomba, in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia.
The 2.1 km circuit opened on 12 February 1961. Race meetings were staged by the Australian Racing Drivers Club in association with the Blue Mountains Sporting Drivers Club through to 1969, at which time the ARDC took over the Amaroo Park circuit. A race meeting was organized by the BMSDC in January 1970, however the club went into liquidation the following year. At the time of the circuit's closure, the lap record was credited to Frank Matich (Matich SR4) at 53.4 seconds, an average lap speed of 141 km/h.
Originally used for top level motorsport including touring car, open wheeler, motorcycle and sidecar racing in the 1960s. The mountain location caused problems with fog causing delays in the race programs, also the track was very narrow by today's standards and surrounded by walls, armco railings and hillside. The track became used less with the opening of other circuits nearer to Sydney such as Oran Park and Amaroo Park.
In the 1970s the circuit was used for Rallycross, where the cars would use half the bitumen track and a dirt infield section with jumps, like Motocross.
By the 1980s the track was only being used for lap dashes with single cars on track at one time and was used until the mid-1990s for this.
The circuit still exists and can be walked around however it has deteriorated quite badly with grass growing through the track surface on what was Lockheed Straight and Dunlop Corner, and water seepage has caused part of the track to collapse between Craven A corner and Castrol corner.
Narrow Neck Katoomba Mountain Bike Ride
Come with us on the Narrow Neck mountain bike (MTB) ride in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains Australia on 18 Aug 2019, about 3 hours west of Sydney. The trip is 10 km to Clear Hill camp for lunch and returning same route (20 km total). The route is on a firetrail dirt road with lots of ups and downs. There is a bit of footage walking on the Katoomba to Kanangra track which continues from Clear Hill (a multi day route requiring navigation and camping gear).

Blue Mountains ! Sydney, Australia.

I spent a day hiking in Blue Mountains. This Australian place is outstanding. I happen to saw Katoomba Falls, Three Sisters etc. but i must say that blue mountains is not just about hiking , it's a place you can to with your kids and plan a small picnic. I saw so many kids having fun there especially at the dinosaur zone. If you plan to stay there for two days you will be able to see more areas , more water falls and trek. I highly recommend blue mountains hike to anyone visiting Sydney, Australia

Bikepacking & Bushwalking - Blue Mountains Australia
Starting at Mount Victoria station I rode down the mountain to Glenbrook. Camping along the way & doing an overnight bushwalk near Glenbrook.
WARNING: The walking section is in a very remote area with steep rock scrambles, undefined tracks & multiple river crossings. Recommended only for very experienced bushwalkers. I will not accept responsibility for any inconvenience, loss or injury you may experience.

BLUE MOUNTAINS WALK: KATOOMBA FALLS: NARROW NECK LOOKOUT
The Katoomba Falls is a segmented waterfall that is located close to Echo Point near Katoomba on the Kedumba River descending into the Jamison Valley located within the Blue Mountains National Park in the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales, Australia.
Narrow Neck Lookout, as the name implies, has views over the Narrow Neck Peninsula, a plateau which divides the Jamison and Megalong Valleys. There is a lookout on Cliff Drive down over Narrow Neck and the two valleys or you can continue along Cliff Drive to Glen Raphael Drive, a dirt road leading two kilometres along Narrow Neck to a locked gate. The next seven kilometres is for walkers and mountain bike riders only and offers spectacular views into the surrounding valleys. Narrow Neck is well known as a 'must do' mountain bike ride.

There is no new ground covered in this video, but it was such a beautiful day yesterday that everything looked new! Lots of people were out enjoying a great winter's day in the Blue Mountains.
I walked from the Solitary Restaurant parking area down to the Leura Bridal Veil and returned by a different route. It took about 80 minutes.
