AUSTRALIA WILDFIRE UPDATE:
As part of Travel and Leisure's coverage for 2020 Destination of the Year, we traveled to Australia in September of 2019. The Blue Mountains world heritage site featured in this video was filmed mere weeks before the devastating wildfires engulfed the country. 80% of the Blue Mountains region was affected by these fires.

So named because of the azure haze that often settles above them, the Blue Mountains—which, in actuality, are not so much a series of peaks as they are a grouping of ridges, plateaus, and gorges—are a quick getaway from the city and a fantastic place to spend a weekend.
Tag along with Dan Lewis of The Blue Mountain Adventure Company as he shows you all the natural beauty of this magical place.

Travel: Tour the Blue Mountains in 3 Minutes! (near Sydney, Australia)
Through a tour by Happy Travels, we were able to get a round trip ride from Sydney to Katoomba, have a small lunch, and hike around the Blue Mountains like a local for $50AUD per person (It was down from $70 when we booked the night before). A guide picked us up at Kings Cross fountain in a 21 passenger shuttle around 7am, and we got back around 5pm. Lots of hiking, not much phone service, but a lot of fun!

Fortress Canyon Following Rainfall
The lovely canyon normally has a lot less water than is shown in this video. It was lovely to be in the canyon following a few days of rain in 2012 as you could float down stream rather than walk. It's amazing how different canyons looks each time you visit. There is always a surprise around the corner.

Here is a little edit from our canyoning trip down into the Wollangambie River Canyon, in the Blue Mountains National Park.
This was a big day, with a 2 hour hike down into the canyon, 6 hours floating and scrambling through the canyon, and finally a hour and a half hike back to camp.
Whats up! my name is Eddie, i'm from Sydney, Australia but now days i'll usually will be found in California if not traveling around the world with silly amounts of camera equipment. What Camera do I use?
I use Canon Dslr equipment, my most common travel companion is a 7D ii and i'll usually strap a Sigma 50mm 1.4 on top.

What software do I use?
I'm all about the Photoshop, that I can't get enough of, and I use Final Cut Pro X for most of the film.
