Tyler C Welsh and I hooked up transportation to Somerset West through a concert shuttle and set off to do some wakeboarding. Such a sick cable. This was my first attempt at riding a full cable, and as a regular rider, the counterclockwise spin was something to adjust to but I'm so stoked I was able to make it here to take part. The local crew rips, and are definitely passionate about their sport. Potentially going back to take part in a competition happening March 14th. Good times had by all. Shout out to Rhodene and Maedina. You guys made the day that much more epic.

Lake Blue Rock ist der einzige See in der Nähe von Kapstadt (Somerset West- Sir Lowry´s Pass) mit kristallklarem Wasser und einer Tiefe von ca 60 Meter. Im Sommer erreicht das Wasser eine Temperatur bis zu 26 ° C.
Durch das Überkopf-Seilzugsystem kann man dort Knieboarding, Wasserski und Wakeboarding machen, und alles ohne Boot

So close to CApe Town, yet it feels like another land lol,
Best part is you can braai there, or if you're too lazy to braai, they have a great YET AGORDABLE Restuarant, with some lekker burgers, pizza's etc, as well as ... A COFFEE BAR!!

Hello everyone, This is our first YouTube video of our travels in South Africa. It was my (Will) first time at a cable park, as you can see it took me a while getting the hang of it. The place is called Blue Rock Adventure Park in Somerset West, Cape Town and is only a 45 minute drive from Cape Town International Airport. The price to enter the park is R50 pp and for the lift pass, wakeboard + protective gear it only was R400 for an hour. Two wakeboarders take the day off to try and find the blue rock motor monster that is hiding deep by the back coiner of the cable park.

Blue Rock is located in Somerset West, South Africa! A quarry that includes cable waterskiing, wake boarding and knee boarding, zip lining and swimming. I had so much fun with my cousins. Em this was such a great idea!
We paid no more than $5 USD (~60R) for an entrance fee
Cable wake boarding for 1 hour with a life jacket and helmet rental: no more than $17 USD (~R240)! Totally affordable and super fun.
