Arline Fishing Charters
We are a small company determined to provide the sort of personal service that sets us apart from our competitors. We make it our mission to create trips that you will want to come back and experience all over again. We try to keep it low key, relaxed and informal to appeal to all levels of experience.
The Arline is a 40ft kauri launch that was built in the Bay of Islands and has operated here continously for the past 30 years. Our Skipper has 45yrs (plus) experience in Charter Boats and his knowledge of the Bay is extensive.
The boat is well set out with a good combination of shelter, seating and open deck space making it ideal for individuals, groups and families. We supply the bait, rods, reels and experienced crew - you bring your enthusiasm and we'll make it a trip to remember.

Landbased Snapper pt 1 Bay of Islands
Six lucky anglers who won the chance to fish three ways in three days join Matt and the team. For the first leg of this adventure the guys fly into some remote coastline on a helicopter and are greeted by loads of hungry snapper. The anglers all get a crash course in land based fishing for big snapper and each claim it was their best days fishing ever!

12th Jan 2018 Fishing at Paihia - Bay of Islands Fishing..
Myself and Michael arranged a NZ fishing charter to target Yellowtail Kingfish in the Bay of Islands off Paihia with Matt Smith - Anglers Anonymous - bayofislandsfishing.com. Unfortunately it was one of those days when we could see the fish and huge amounts of bait on the sounder but for some reason they were not interested in our live bait offerings. We hooked one Kingfish early on but lost it at the side of the boat and I didn't even get a pic. Michael and myself both caught a decent Kahawai which we call Salmon in Australia and that was quite nice after Karen and Maxine put their culinary skills to work and we had it for Dinner.
We are heading North today back to the Bay of Islands so I am hoping that Matt the skipper will offer us a good deal to go again in the next couple of days because i really want to catch one of those big Yellowtail Kingfish. Matt said it was the first charter in more than 160 outings that they had not caught one so hopefully we get lucky next time....I will post again soon.
