Mountain Bike Blue Derby || BLUE TIER - BEST FLOW TRAIL EVER (POV 4K Gimbal)
On our first day mountain biking Blue Derby we did the double shuttle - Blue Tier and Atlas. It's broken up by a Burger, or Quinoa Salad ;) at the Weldborough Pub which was well needed.
MTB Blue Tier is an incredible mountain bike trail and perfect as a 1st day ride. It's not too technical. Easy Blue I'd say but it has some jumps if you feel the need. It has the best flow I've ever ridden, so if flow is what you're after this is the place to be. The scenery is outstanding. I've never seen anything like it on the mainland of Australia. We're from Sydney so we are used to dry, rocky mountain bike trails. Blue Tier is like stepping back into the Jurassic period with 10ft high ferns and mossy rocks. There are super fast flowy sections, big berms and jumps that you really have to be ready for. I cased a couple from not having enough speed. I got them on the second run we did 2 days later. No camera that day though. It's always better the second time but it's always more exciting on the very first - so it's hard to pick which day I should film. The berms are perfectly formed and plentiful. I can't say enough about how amazing this ride is.

Blue Tier Decent Tasmania
The Blue Tier decent, An amazing rocky technical track leading down to the weldborough pub. It was an awesome track, kept me entertained every second except for the river crossings, Luckily we did the track in summer not winter when the rivers are flooded.

The Big Tree & Dip Falls at Mawbanna, Tasmania, Australia
If you happen to visit Stanley in Tasmania, pass by this two nature attractions in Mawbanna. Dip Falls are a magnificent, two-tiered waterfall, the water of which flows over cubic-basalt columns, formed hundreds of years ago by the cooling of the volcanic rock. After heavy rainfalls the waterfall is most impressive, as water appears to ‘bounce’ from one rock formation to another as it hits the lower tier. A further kilometre from Dip Falls, and a one kilometre walk into the wet eucalypt forest, you will find the home of the Big Tree. Estimated to be 400 years old, the tree is a ‘eucalypt oblique’, or commonly known as a ‘browntop stringybark’. The Big Tree stands at 62 metres (203 feet) tall today, it is believed to have been up to 90 metres tall at one time.
