Bluff Point | Kemp Hill - Yeppoon
G’day it’s Pat and in this video I am taking you all with me up Kemp Hill.
Kemp Hill or the Bluff Point walking trail is my favourite trail in the Yeppoon area. Whenever I get the itch to get outdoors that’s where I usually end up.

Things to do on the Capricorn Coast
The Kemp Beach National Park near Roslyn Bay is home to one of the most spectacular walking tracks on the beautiful Capricorn Coast. Only 2.3km long this well maintained & fully sealed circular track will delight everyone from the unfittest walker to the cardio crazed fitness junky with amazing views of the Keppel Islands and surrounds. There are lovely little areas as you walk around the mountain that have been created where you can stop and drink in the scenery.
The footage in this video is from the very top looking west.

Livingstone Shire joins forces with Green Army
Green thumbs from across Central Queensland have been rolling up their sleeves to help protect some of the region’s most delicate ecosystems.
The team of nine young people aged 17 – 24 years have been working alongside Council’s Natural Resource Team since July and will continue in a number of areas across the Shire for the next four months.
Some of the jobs carried out so far include weed management, replanting the dunes with local species including native spinifex and the construction of a bushland walking track.
Over the course of the projects, the crews will construct more than 2 kilometres of fencing and plant more than 2,000 trees.
The Green Army is an Australian Government initiative that supports local environmental and heritage conservation projects across Australia.
It’s an initiative for young Australians aged 17–24 years interested in protecting their local environment. It provides young people with skills, training and experience to help them enter the workforce or improve their career opportunities.
As a service provider, Conservation Volunteers Australia is currently delivering over 200 Green Army projects around Australia.
G’DAY Magazine – Great Keppel Island, Queensland
Just off the coast of Yeppoon, a half hour drive from Rockhampton, is a collection of islands we’re sure only existed in dreams or at the very least, on postcards. One of the best-kept secrets of the Capricorn Coast, the Keppel Islands (known as ‘the Keppels’) are like the forgotten siblings of the Whitsundays - a pristine collection of islands less-visited than their northern counterparts, and almost untouched by man.
