Riding the Estero trail at Point Reyes National Park. Then we went over to Mount Vision for a mostly paved diversion, just to say we rode the spot that my bike is named after.
Sonoma County - Jenner Headlands Hike
This loop hike explores the many facets of a new wild-lands preserve. After a short climb to a viewpoint, hikers enjoy fantastic vistas of the Russian River, Goat Rock, the rugged Sonoma County, & coastal hillsides. Explore a redwood & fir forest. Wildflowers bloom amid the coastal grasses & woodland shadows. You’ll hike among cattle but also keep an eye pealed for wildlife.

Northern California Hwy 36 Coast to Cascades: Lassen Nat. For. Motorcycle Tour
In early July, I rode my motorcycle on Highway 36 in northern California from coastal Arcata to cascade's Westwood (~300 miles). My destination: Lassen National Forest to help study how the forest is regenerating following multiple wildfires, specifically looking at oak trees' vegetative growth response to mixed-severity fires in a conifer-dominated, high-elevation environment. Cheers!
FYI: Sorry for the late release of this video. Hope ya'll enjoy it !!

Point Arena Mendocino Hike
Still cannot believe we live near this much beauty! The Mendocino coast with the sandstone rock formations and the foggy skies and turbulent seas trigger so much love for the coast.
The hubs and the bosslady were camping just in from Point Arena and enjoyed the lovely hike along the coast in the Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands. Most of the hike included views of the historic lighthouse and of course the ocean.
Walking from the lighthouse down to where we could see the Point Arena pier was breathtaking! Fellow hikers told us of 3 arched rock formations that formed a tunnel. Hearing about this and knowing the tide was coming in, we picked up our pace and headed for the ravine to view this incredible site. Spectacular!!
Have you been to the historic lighthouse? We are wanting to go back to check out the tidepools and gain better views of the sea caves.
