A trip to Sunderland Illuminations for the 2019 Festival of Light. This event has traditionally been held at Roker Park but has moved to Mowbray Park for the first time in 2019.
The many light scenes make for a great evening with family.

Please just be aware that this is not a true representation of Sunderland. This film HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FOOTBALL and was made as part of a Video Workshop whereby a short film would be made (over an afternoon) and posted to Youtube. It just so happened it was one of the wettest and miserable days of that week and this is what we came up with.
Sunderland is actually a beautiful City (I'm from the North East and even live in a Sunderland postcode myself) and we hope the locals and SAFC fans everywhere can forgive us and take it in good humour.

Roundabout tutorial regarding A690 / A19 roundabout.
This in-car footage contains no commentary as it is simply intended to be used as a point of reference for anyone looking to take their practical driving test at Sunderland DTC.
Even though this route is following the road ahead (second exit), the road markings designate the left lane on approach for turning left only (A19 North). A large number of drivers will approach in the left lane and attempt to follow the route ahead, therefore it is important to be fully aware of the actions of other vehicles around you.

On a ride out I got overtaken by a bus who seemed somewhat impatient to get past me, saving him a whole second on his journey time. I wasnt overly impressed on the overtaking skills either, I decided to see just whats quicker, bike or bus. Empty roads made for a fair ride, no traffic for me to filter through. Guess who won?
