Ocean City is on New Jersey's coastal Jersey Shore. The city has a string of beaches and a boardwalk with shops, eateries and amusement parks. Gillian’s Wonderland Pier offers classic rides like the Giant Wheel. Playland’s Castaway Cove features several roller coasters and themed mini-golf. To the south, Corson’s Inlet State Park, with trails and a boat launch, attracts shorebirds to its dunes and wetlands.
Ocean City originated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on May 3, 1884, from portions of Upper Township, based on results from a referendum on April 30, 1884, and was reincorporated as a borough on March 31, 1890. Ocean City was incorporated as a city, its current government form, on March 25, 1897. The city is named for its location on the Atlantic Ocean.
Known as a family-oriented seaside resort, Ocean City has prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages within its limits since its founding in 1879, offering miles of guarded beaches, a boardwalk that stretches for 2.5 miles (4.0 km), and a downtown shopping and dining district. The Travel Channel rated Ocean City as the Best Family Beach of 2005. It was ranked the third-best beach in New Jersey in the 2008 Top 10 Beaches Contest sponsored by the New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium. In the 2009 Top 10 Beaches Contest, Ocean City ranked first.
Ocean City, New Jersey is a world famous seashore community located in the heart of the Jersey Shore. At the northern tip of Cape May County, it is perfectly situated for a vacation; just 20 minutes from Atlantic City, 70 minutes from Philadelphia, and two hours from New York. Our two and a half mile boardwalk is the central focus of Ocean City's attractions. It is lined up with shops and restaurants of every kind, movie theaters, amusement rides, miniature golf courses, and a water park like no other. Since the late 1800’s, the population of Ocean City has grown rapidly. It remains a premier summer destination for all ages who enjoy the 8 miles of guarded beaches along the coast.

We had a great time visiting Downtown Ocean City, NJ with our dear friends Ruben and Ily. First we tried out a delicious local Greek restaurant called Yianni's Cafe and then went over to, Drip and Scoop where they serve up homemade donuts with ice cream filling! After that we hit the famous Ocean City Boardwalk where we enjoy some of the attractions with the kids at Gillian's. Hope you enjoy Ocean City, NJ with us!

I tried the new Jenkinson's Adventure Lookout Ropes Course in Point Pleasant with a MeetUp group I recently joined (732 Peeps with Megan, Carmine, Darm and Jesus. In the video I said the MeetUp group Young and Fun with I also recently joined but there is some cross over of people/events). It rained for a short time so we had to wait a little for the course to reopen but it was definitely a fun time. The course cost $14 and you could stay on it as long as you wanted. There were 3 levels ) and a variety of different challenges to walk across along with a zipline that was really fun. Great time. The Adventure Lookout Ropes course is located in Pt. Pleasant, NJ at the corner of Arnold Ave and Ocean Ave on Jenkinson's Boardwalk (300 Ocean Ave, Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742 732-892-0600). Thanks for watching.
