Kirtling Tower
Kirtling Tower was a medieval castle and Tudor country house in Cambridgeshire, England, of which the gatehouse still remains.
Surrounded by a moat, formal gardens and parkland. In the spring swathes of daffodils, narcissi, crocus, muscari, chionodoxa and tulips. Closer to the house vast lawn areas, Secret and Cutting Gardens. In the summer the Walled Garden has superb herbaceous borders with anthemis, hemerocalis, geraniums and delphiniums. The Victorian Garden is filled filled with peonies. Views of surrounding countryside.
Clarinet Quintet in A, K. 581
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Quintet in A major for Clarinet and Strings, K. 581, was written in 1789 for the clarinetist Anton Stadler. Though originally written for basset clarinet, it is almost always played on a clarinet in A or B-flat. It was Mozart's only completed clarinet quintet, and is one of the earliest and best-known works written especially for the instrument: it remains to this day one of the most admired of the composer's works. The quintet is sometimes referred to as the Stadler Quintet; Mozart so described it in a letter of April 1790.

The county of Oxfordshire in England was formed in the early years of the 10th century and is broadly situated in the land between the River Thames to the south, the Cotswolds to the west, the Chilterns to the east and The Midlands to the north, with spurs running south to Henley-on-Thames and north to Banbury.Historically the area has always had some importance, containing valuable agricultural land in the centre of the country and the prestigious university in the county town of Oxford .Ignored by the Romans, it was not until the formation of a settlement at Oxford in the 8th century that the area grew in importance.Alfred the Great was born across the Thames in Wantage in Berkshire.

Branthwaite Hall
Hi Here is a video of the little known Branthwaite Hall.
Branthwaite Hall with its Peel Tower was built near the village of Branthwaite and the towns of Workington / Cockermouth in the mid-15th century by the Skelton family, who acquired the surrounding manor from the Branthwaites by marriage.
The new building was constructed from rubble stone with a single tower with a parapet and a spiral-stair turret, with an adjacent hall. The hall was 60 feet long and 42 wide (18 metres by 13 metres), but was largely remodelled in 1604; the new hall is a single space, whereas it was probably originally subdivided, and additional windows were added.
Subsequent work was conducted in the 1670s to give the property a grander appearance.
The Skeltons held the hall until 1757.
The hall is currently privately owned and I wish to thank the current owners for their permission to take this video.
