Harwich Peninsular Friends of the Earth arranged a fun day out for all the family on 18th May 2013 in Bobbits Hole a unique nature reserve in Dovercourt Essex CO12 4AB, as part of FOE's National Bee Action Day to support the Bee Cause.
Over 160 people attended the event and enjoyed lots of activities where they learnt about the serious issues facing bees, their decline and importance to the food chain and what they can do to help. Activities included an Interactive Bee Trail, Quizzes, Bee Dancing, Bee Face Painting followed by a illuminating talk by John Taylor volunteer of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
