Panama. My 18 hour bus trip from Bocas Del Toro Panama to Panama City
On my way to live in Medellin I stopped for a few weeks in Bocas Panama. It was in June, 2018 and it was hot as hell. I lost about 10 pounds in 2 weeks and i need that weight. I finally gave up and left a week early and took the bus to Panama City. I stayed in PC for a week but it rained every day. June is rainy season.

This is BOCAS TOWN. Travel to Bocas Del Toro, Panama.
Before we arrived Bocas Del Toro, Panama, we had a difficult time finding much on YouTube about the town. Therefore we decided to do our own vlog about the town to give other people a better idea of what the town is like!
We started off our day in the centre of town at the main park (Parque Simón Bolívar) in the centre of town. This is also where you pick up buses to get to other parts of the Isla Colon. We then went and got fresh juice from a vendor in town.
After that we went and explored the boutiques in town. There are lots of great small shops and surf shops and is great for shopping.
We then went and got lunch from a great little take away shop called Amaranto. Having to wash it down with something we head to La Buguita to have a drink and take in the great view of the water taxis and waterfront area.
Lastly we take you back to our great Airbnb just outside of town in Saigon Bay. It’s called Koko Resort and is a group fully equipped overwater bungalows. That we’d highly recommend renting when in Bocas Del Toro!

Bocas del Toro, Panama:
Bocas del Toro is a province in Panama with an island chain off the Caribbean coast, and a section of mainland with a very biodiverse rainforest. Isla Colon, the most important island, is home to the capital called Bocas Town. Bocas Town is full of touristic places with many restaurants, shops and very active nightlife. Among the most popular beaches Boca del Dragon is perhaps the most well known. One of the main attractions in Isla Colon is the Starfish Beach, named for the number of sea starts you can find there. Bocas del Toro is the perfect place if you are planning on visiting the archipielago.
Bocas Town:
Boca Town is a touristic town on the southern tip of Colon Island. The corregimento of Bocas del Toro has a land area of 67.3 square kilometres (26.0 sq mi) and had a population of 7,366 as of 2010, giving it a population density of 109.4 inhabitants per square kilometre (283/sq mi). Its population as of 1990 was 5,274; its population as of 2000 was 4,020.
Relatively few Panamanians live on the island, opting for cheaper housing on the mainland. Mainland residents working on Colón Island travel by boat. Bocas del Toro is a popular tourist destination year-round. The town is small enough that most places are within walking distance. The streets are arranged in a grid. Avenidas (avenues) run east to west and calles (streets) run north to south. Bocas del Toro is still relatively unknown as a dive destination. However, it offers a great diversity of aquatic life around its islands.

How to travel to Bocas del Toro by bus! ????TeshiiFromBocas????
Hi, I'm Teshii, welcome to my little corner! I'm a 26-year old Blogger & Community Manager from Panama looking to spread the word of my beautiful province, Bocas del Toro, which happens to be somewhat of a paradise.
Last week, my partner Dexter & I traveled to Changuinola, Bocas del Toro. Since I always get a lot of questions about that trip, I thought I'd kick off my YouTube channel with a vlog portraying what the trip is like. Tbh, it's usually not as tiring and long as this particular one was, but meh it's quite similar, now that I think about it. If you're planning on doing this trip yourself soon, I'm also publishing a blog post on my website ( on July 27th with all the details you need so you won't get lost in the busy town of Panama City (where to buy tickets, prices, schedules, all that good stuff)! If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comment section and I'll gladly answer them!
Don't forget to like, share and subscribe so you won't miss more vids on this awesome side of the continent!

Bocas del Toro Panama Travel Guide - Captivating & Unforgettable | 90+ Countries With 3 Kids
Welcome to Bocas Del Toro, a beautiful province in Panama!
Did you know that Bocas Del Toro, translated from Spanish means “Bull’s river mouths?” Such name might sound scary to you, but don’t worry, both place and its locals are warm and friendly. However, the capital of this province bears the same name – the city of Bocas del Toro or Bocas Town for short, and it is located on Isla Colón.
Bocas Del Toro might not have a vast territory, but it is proud to have two national parks on it - La Amistad International Park and Isla Bastimentos National Marine Park. Another interesting fact is that the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute has a research station located close to Bocas Town, so you can be sure you’ll be surrounded by fantastic nature that’s worth exploring.
If you are looking for accommodation for your holiday here, we would recommend you to check out the wonderful Cosmic Crab Resort. It is located on Isla Carenero, and it is where we stayed at. For a reasonable price, you will have a chance to enjoy refreshing Caribbean breezes and sunbathe near coconut trees while eating delicious food. What more could you ask for?

Panama-Bocas del Toro:
Bocas del Toro is a province of Panama. Its extension is 4,643.9 square kilometers comprising the mainland and nine main islands. The province consists of the Bocas del Toro Archipelago, Bahía Almirante (Almirante Bay), Laguna de Chiriquí (Chiriquí Lagoon), and adjacent mainland. The capital is the city of Bocas del Toro (Bocas Town) on Isla Colón (Colón Island). Other major cities or towns include Almirante, and Changuinola. The province has a total population of 125,461 people (2010).Christopher Columbus and his crew discovered the area in 1502. Bocas del Toro borders the Caribbean Sea to the north, Limón Province of Costa Rica to the west, Chiriquí Province to the south, and Ngöbe-Buglé Comarca to the east. The Río Sixaola forms part of the border with Costa Rica. An old railroad bridge spans the river between Guabito and Sixaola, Costa Rica. The bridge is a border crossing used by tourists going between destinations in Bocas and Costa Rica. The province contains two national parks: Isla Bastimentos National Marine Park and La Amistad International Park. The Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute operates a research station on Colón Island just northwest of Bocas Town. There are many banana plantations in Bocas del Toro, often called the oro verde or green gold of Central America.
Christopher Columbus explored here in 1502, while searching for the passage to the Pacific ocean. Columbus's original name for the island was Isla del Drago. In colonial times, Bocas del Toro was part of Veraguas. It was originally part of Costa Rica until, in one of the many territorial disputes, Colombia took control of it with armed forces. The then government made a reservation called Bocas del Toro in 1834. In 1850, Bocas del Toro became a part of Chiriqui, then was separated from it and became part of Colon. On November 16, 1903, Bocas del Toro was separated from Colon and became its own province. In 1941, Bocas del Toro was divided into 2 districts, Bocas del Toro and Crimamola. Four years later, it became into the same division as before. In 1970, Bocas del Toro district became Changuinola, eliminated the district Bastimentos and added three new districts to what it is today. The extensions of the districts changed in 1997 when the reservation Ngöbe Buglé Comarca was made.
National Parks
Isla Bastimentos National Marine Park (Parque Nacional Marino Isla Bastimentos)

Bocas del Toro contains most of the Panamanian section of the park, which is 400,000 hectares (4,000 km2; 1,544 sq mi). The Costa Rican section of the park is 584,592 hectares (5,846 km2; 2,257 sq mi).La Amistad International Park is a listed UNESCO World Heritage site.
