Boise State Engineering Senior Class PonyUp Project: Ūsful Glass
Ten Boise State University seniors from the College of Engineering are working on a capstone project to benefit a local non-profit company, Ūsful Glassworks. Since its inception six years ago, the company has steadily grown. They transform used glass bottles of various shapes, sizes and colors into new usable glass products such as cups, carafes, wind chimes and art. Ūsful Glassworks employs and trains those in the community with employment boundaries (such as at-risk youth, veterans, homeless and those with disabilities) to produce these re-purposed products. The employees go through a special program that helps prepare them for future jobs, as well as provides them with letters of recommendation.
As a non-profit, Ūsful Glassworks does not have the necessary funds to support this project alone. This is where you come in. By contributing towards this cause you are enhancing the lives of people in the community and the education of Boise State engineering students. Your contributions will fulfill a social, environmentally friendly, and economic need in our community. Ūsful Glassworks recycles old glass for further use, making a positive environmental impact, while helping out individuals within our local community—giving them jobs that they desperately need. As the engineering students working on the project, we grow by gaining valuable experience in our field and working on a real world problem within the community. This is a unique opportunity that allows for Boise State engineers to support a local cause while showcasing our education and participating in a professional environment. But to do this we need you and your support! Every gift has a significant impact and along the way, please share with your friends and family to help us reach our goal!

Art and Economic Development in Boise, Idaho
I interviewed Dr. Amanda Ashley from Boise State University, as well as Karen Bubb and Karl LeClair from the City of Boise, and Patrick Boel from LocalConstruct about how art is being used to help influence culture and drive economic development in Boise. This video was a solo project, and I am responsible for all the content within. The topic is about the impact which art has on building our community and enhancing our regional culture.
This is a project completed for my Media seminar class at Boise State University in Spring of 2019.
I have no association with the City of Boise or LocalConstruct, and this video was initiated out of personal interest in the topic, and as a capstone senior project to showcase my skills learned over my time at Boise State University.

NBC, KIDO-AM 1951, Salute to Boise Idaho
The was digitally recaptured from a large transcription record sealed behind glass in the KIDO business office in Boise. The record captured an NBC program that aired on the station in 1951 when the station was at 1350 on the AM dial. The program was called Big City Serenade and in this 30 minute program (some music was removed) the NBC Orchestra played songs that reflected the culture and values of that city... many of the festivals, events, and places are still used for similar functions today. I obtained this audio during my employment at 580 KIDO Radio from 2006-2010.

Pound & Pour | Boise, Idaho (Vlog)
What is Pound? That's what we were wondering too. So we headed over to Coiled Wines in Boise for some Pound and Pour. If we were going to have to dance and jump around like uncoordinated goof balls, we needed some liquid courage.
Every month Pound instructor Amanda Bell puts on Pound at a local establishment that serves alcohol. It's a fun way to introduce people to a fitness class where the equipment is a set of green sticks. With these green drum sticks and some bumping music, you pound out aggression and burn calories by bouncing around and drumming the ground.

Freak alley Gallery ( Boise Idaho )
I found this while looking for a bank. I thought it was pretty damm cool---
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune--without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.
