My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

Israel Trip 2019 - Day #7 ???? Tel Aviv, Leket, Yafo
Day seven began with leadership and appreciation workshops at Zeitlin, followed by a visit to the memorial of one of the great leaders of Israel – Itzchak Rabin. After lunch at Tel Aviv’s premiere shawarma spot, Dadbush, we headed to Leket to prepare meals for the less fortunate. We packed a whopping 943 boxes, then headed to the Innovation center to learn how else Israel is changing the world, and why it has become known as The Startup Nation. We closed off the day with a fun boat ride around the Jaffa port and a nice meal at the TLV mall.

Israel Trip 2019 - Day #8 ???? Sdeh Boker, Ilan Ramon Center, Bedouin Tent
???????? 8th Day in ISRAEL: ישראל היא הבית שלי! ????????
Day eight continued our theme of tikkun olam and leadership with a tour of Ben Gurion’s house in the Negev, where he chose to live out his final days as an example of the importance of growing Israel’s community in the south. Next, we visited the museum of Ilan Ramon and learned the story of a man who gave his life to bring a Torah, a kiddish cup, and the nation of Israel into space for the first time. We spent the evening dancing and eating in Beduin tents and now we’re getting ready for day nine with a good night’s sleep.

Travel to Israel
We traveled all over Israel, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Eilat, Ashkelon, Mitzpe Ramon, Tiberias, the Dead Sea, and many other locations. I consolidated two trips to Israel in 2017 and 2019 into a single vacation video.

Where to Stay in Israel? The 2019 Guide to Hotels & Hostels in Israel
The Best Hotels, Hostels & Special Accommodation in Israel
Booking a hotel or hostel has never been so easy, but I decided do vidoe because there are some important things you need to know about getting a roof over your head in Israel:
* One of the biggest expenses when traveling is accommodation, and this is particularly true of Israel. Many travelers complain that they would have expected more for the price they paid. This is why I’ve added a budget option in each area: these are hostels and chans, many of which also offer private rooms.
* When you sleep outside the cities, in the Negev or the Galilee, I recommend that you go for a different kind of accommodation, such as chavot bodedim, which means “lonesome farms”, or airuach kibbutzi, which involves sleeping in hotels in kibbutzim.
* There is no such thing as THE BEST hotel. It is all about what is right for you and a random recommendation won’t give you the information you need.
I’m not just talking about the budget. Let's say you’re looking for a hotel in Tel Aviv. What is important to you? Do you want to be able to see the sea from your room and be located right on the promenade? Do you like markets and want to be a stone’s throw from the flea market? Or do you see Tel Aviv as a base for other tours and prefer to be close to Ayalon (the main highway that runs through Tel Aviv)?
* At the end of the day, you spend quite a lot of time in your accommodation, and you almost always eat there, so it should be good.
