Why Arlington is Rated One of the Top Park Agencies in the U.S.
Find Out Why Arlington, Virginia is Rated One of the Top Park Agencies in the United States.
Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.A..avi
Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.A. This is the metroplex among Northern Texas where most people here live in peace and harmony. I was used to staying in this D/FW but I lived in my cousin's house and went to attend school at University of Texas at Dallas. During weekend here I enjoyed my cousin's accommodations and we all lived in a house in Richardson with real simple cowboy style. If you would like to take your trip to Dallas/Fort Worth, you're more than welcome. Thanks.
The Dallas--Fort Worth--Arlington Metropolitan Statistical Area, an official title designated by the U.S. Census as of 2003, encompasses 12 counties within the U.S. state of Texas. The area is divided into two distinct metropolitan divisions: Dallas--Plano--Irving and Fort Worth--Arlington. Residents of the area informally refer to it as the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, DFW, or The Metroplex. It is the economic and cultural hub of the region commonly called North Texas or North Central Texas and is the largest land-locked metropolitan area in the United States.
The 2010 official U.S. Census real counts has the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex at 6,371,773 making it the largest metropolitan area in the the South. During the 12-month period from July 2008 to July 2009, the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area gained 146,530 new residents, more than any other metropolitan area in the United States. The area's population has grown by about one million since the last census was administered in 2000. The Dallas--Fort Worth--Arlington MSA is, by population, the largest metropolitan area in Texas, the largest in the South, the fourth-largest in the United States, and the tenth-largest in the Americas. The metroplex encompasses 9,286 square miles (24,100 km2) of total area: 8,991 sq mi (23,290 km2) is land, while 295 sq mi (760 km2) is water, making it larger in area than the U.S. states of Rhode Island and Connecticut combined. It is also the sixth largest gross metropolitan product (GMP) in the United States, and approximately tenth largest by GMP in the world.

Arlington National Cemetery Millennium Expansion Flyover
Arlington National Cemetery is currently 624 acres. Over the next several years, Arlington’s footprint will be increasing, with additional space for both in-ground and above-ground burials, thereby extending its life for several decades to come. The Millennium Project is a 27-acre parcel of undeveloped land from Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, the National Park Service, and existing ANC land. This parcel is included in the cemetery’s current acreage. The Millennium Project began construction in early 2014. This animated video is an artist rendering of the project.
For each of these projects, planning includes important considerations for interment options, visitor accessibility, environmental impact, roads, utilities, and other issues that not only ensure maximum use of Arlington’s burial space, but also ensure a smart and successful expansion.

Dashcam Shows Police Shoot Man Approaching With Knife - Seattle, Washington, United States
Seattle police have released graphic dashcam footage of Sunday’s shooting by an officer of a domestic-violence suspect in the Central District.
The video shows the man advancing on a female officer, who repeatedly orders him to drop two knives he is carrying in the 1900 block of South Dearborn Street. The officer fires several shots and the man — whose features are redacted from the video — staggers and collapses on the sidewalk.
Two other officers arrive on the scene and approach the man, telling him to stay down, and then tend to him while awaiting paramedics.
The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

Police also released audio of a 911 call made by the wounded man’s spouse, who told the dispatcher that his husband was suicidal, had been taking prescription drugs and was trying to drive away from the residence. The caller said he had taken the keys to their vehicle.
The first officer on the scene is seen taking some of this information from the caller, who then exclaims, “He’s right there.” The officer is then heard saying, “I got eyes on him,” and immediately tells the man to “Drop the knife!”
She repeats the command several times, stating at one point that the man has two knives.
As he appears from behind a white van in the dashcam video, the officer repeats her command and then fires six rounds.
A link placed by police on their online blotter also includes photographs of three kitchen knives — two the man was carrying and one he had reportedly thrown at his partner earlier.
Police said Sunday the victim called 911 and said his husband had been chasing him with a kitchen knife.
The officer who opened fire has been placed on paid administrative leave, which is standard practice after an officer-involved shooting. Police did not release the officer’s name.
The department’s Force Investigations Team is investigating.

Cop Caught Arresting the Wrong Man in Racial Profiling Incident | NowThis
‘You don’t know my name, so how can you tell me I have an open warrant?’ — This Harris County, Texas officer tried to arrest a Black father in front of his own home after incorrectly identifying him as a suspected criminal from another state.
» Subscribe to NowThis:
In Harris County Texas news today, a police officer arrested the wrong man and it was all caught on camera. In this example of racial profiling, Harris County law enforcement approached a Black father outside his home mistaking him for a suspected criminal from Louisiana. Police officers getting owned is not a common sight but these cops (Harris country Texas) were wrong this time. One could argue that this racial profiling short film shows that Black lives matter and more law enforcement training is need to eradicate police bias.

US Marines Huey Door Gunner | Huey Gatling Gun
Hello and welcome to Sunset Seekers! We are so glad that you could take time out of your day to join us for another video! We wanted to make a short video to honor our veterans! We live in the greatest country in the world and it’s our veterans that have ensured that freedom!
We want to say thank you to all of our veterans for your service, your courage, your commitment, and for your love for this country! It’s because of your sacrifice that we are free and we want to thank you for that freedom!
In honor of Veterans Day, I decided to dig up some old videos from my time in the Marine Corps and include some of that footage in this video. I have to tell you up front that the videos are not very high quality. All of these clips were filmed with the best camera that I could afford at the time (which was pretty cheap) not to mention the fact that even the best camcorders back in the day were pretty terrible and I just recently converted all my VHS tapes to MP4 and much of the film did not age very well so don’t expect 1080p resolution!
So here are some of the highlights from my time in the Marine Corps in Okinawa Japan where I was stationed at (MCAS) Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. This is a short montage of some of the training missions and sights that I saw during my deployment there in 1993.
I was attached to squadron HMLA-169 (Helicopter Marine Light Attack) in 1993 and I served as a crew chief on the UH1N model Huey helicopter. This was one of the best jobs in the Marine Corps and I especially enjoyed the gun runs like you will see in this video!
So Happy Veterans Day! We thank you so much for watching! If you are not a subscriber, hit that subscribe button and be sure to ring the bell for notifications and Please leave a comment below and tell us about your loved one who is serving and where, and we will add them to our prayer list.

You Bet Your Life: Secret Word - Name / Street / Table / Chair
Julius Henry Groucho Marx (October 2, 1890 -- August 19, 1977) was an American comedian and film and television star. He is known as a master of quick wit and widely considered one of the best comedians of the modern era. His rapid-fire, often impromptu delivery of innuendo-laden patter earned him many admirers and imitators. He made 13 feature films with his siblings the Marx Brothers, of whom he was the third-born. He also had a successful solo career, most notably as the host of the radio and television game show You Bet Your Life. His distinctive appearance, carried over from his days in vaudeville, included quirks such as an exaggerated stooped posture, glasses, cigar, and a thick greasepaint mustache and eyebrows. These exaggerated features resulted in the creation of one of the world's most ubiquitous and recognizable novelty disguises, known as Groucho glasses, a one-piece mask consisting of horn-rimmed glasses, large plastic nose, bushy eyebrows and mustache.
Groucho Marx was, and is, the most recognizable and well-known of the Marx Brothers. Groucho-like characters and references have appeared in popular culture both during and after his life, some aimed at audiences who may never have seen a Marx Brothers movie. Groucho's trademark eye glasses, nose, mustache, and cigar have become icons of comedy—glasses with fake noses and mustaches (referred to as Groucho glasses, nose-glasses, and other names) are sold by novelty and costume shops around the world.
Nat Perrin, close friend of Groucho Marx and writer of several Marx Brothers films, inspired John Astin's portrayal of Gomez Addams on the 1960s TV series The Addams Family with similarly thick mustache, eyebrows, sardonic remarks, backward logic, and ever-present cigar (pulled from his breast pocket already lit).
Alan Alda often vamped in the manner of Groucho on M*A*S*H. In one episode, Yankee Doodle Doctor, Hawkeye and Trapper put on a Marx Brothers act at the 4077, with Hawkeye playing Groucho and Trapper playing Harpo. In three other episodes, a character appeared who was named Captain Calvin Spalding (played by Loudon Wainwright III). Groucho's character in Animal Crackers was Captain Geoffrey T. Spaulding.
On many occasions, on the 1970s television sitcom All In The Family, Michael Stivic (Rob Reiner), would briefly imitate Groucho Marx and his mannerisms.
Two albums by British rock band Queen, A Night at the Opera (1975) and A Day at the Races (1976), are named after Marx Brothers films. In March 1977, Groucho invited Queen to visit him in his Los Angeles home; there they performed '39 a capella. A long-running ad campaign for Vlasic Pickles features an animated stork that imitates Groucho's mannerisms and voice. On the famous Hollywood Sign in California, one of the Os is dedicated to Groucho. Alice Cooper contributed over $27,000 to remodel the sign, in memory of his friend.
In 1982, Gabe Kaplan portrayed Marx in the film Groucho, in a one-man stage production. He also imitated Marx occasionally on his previous TV sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter.
Actor Frank Ferrante has performed as Groucho Marx on stage for more than two decades. He continues to tour under rights granted by the Marx family in a one-man show entitled An Evening With Groucho in theaters throughout the United States and Canada with piano accompanist Jim Furmston. In the late 1980s Ferrante starred as Groucho in the off-Broadway and London show Groucho: A Life in Revue penned by Groucho's son Arthur. Ferrante portrayed the comedian from age 15 to 85. The show was later filmed for PBS in 2001. Woody Allen's 1996 musical Everyone Says I Love You, in addition to being named for one of Groucho's signature songs, ends with a Groucho-themed New Year's Eve party in Paris, which some of the stars, including Allen and Goldie Hawn, attend in full Groucho costume. The highlight of the scene is an ensemble song-and-dance performance of Hooray for Captain Spaulding—done entirely in French.
In the last of the Tintin comics, Tintin and the Picaros, a balloon shaped like the face of Groucho could be seen in the Annual Carnival.
In the Italian horror comic Dylan Dog, the protagonist's sidekick is a Groucho impersonator whose character became his permanent personality.
The BBC remade the radio sitcom Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel, with contemporary actors playing the parts of the original cast. The series was repeated on digital radio station BBC7. Scottish playwright Louise Oliver wrote a play named Waiting For Groucho about Chico and Harpo waiting for Groucho to turn up for the filming of their last project together. This was performed by Glasgow theatre company Rhymes with Purple Productions at the Edinburgh Fringe and in Glasgow and Hamilton in 2007-08. Groucho was played by Scottish actor Frodo McDaniel.
