Steven Ingman: Wolf Gang
Steven Ingman's paintings reflect on memories and self discovery influenced by retracing the steps of a former stomping ground. Close to where he grew up a mile down a beaten track hidden behind a wall of hedgerow is a deserted quarry. This forgotten place now overgrown and left to nature's devices, is a mixture of fens, marshes and swamps. The densely compacted trees, abandoned buildings and machinery offer a post apocalyptic landscape yet ironically this place offered a gang of kids an escape from reality. Now through adult eyes, Ingman attempts to understand a place he failed to understand as an adolescent.

Mik Godley Der Riese - the bunker paintings
Like Ingman, Godley highlights incongruities in ideas of landscape and home -- in this case Heimat -- though a home he has only visited virtually. These paintings based on low-resolution internet sourced jpegs depict surface installations from Albert Speers' project Der Riese (the Giant) on the mountains of Gory Sowie (Eulengebirge) in the Sudeten range overlooking his mothers birthplace in Lower Silesia.
Developed since 2003 Considering Silesia has been exhibited from San Francisco to Zagreb, featured in several publications, received awards and critical acclaim.
Recent exhibitions and projects include Edinburgh Art Festival, London Art Fair, Nettie Horn Gallery, London, Nottingham Contemporary, Angel Row Gallery and Bonington Gallery, Nottingham, and Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb.
John O'Gaunt Disused Railway Viaduct, Leicestershire, UK
This is the John O'Gaunt viaduct that was once on the Great Northern and London & North Western joint line in Leicestershire.
The viaduct spans almost 230 yards, with 14 arches rising to a height of around 60 feet.
Once an outstanding structure, it now looks rather sorry for itself when viewed up-close and from underneath. There are a number of patches and many of the arches have stress fractures beneath them, with regular structural surveys now being required.
It’s current condition, and the cost of maintenance, now brings into question the future of this beautiful structure. The question now though is, for how much longer will it remain standing?

Conserving the Yale Center for British Art
A new film that recounts the Center’s building conservation project, with original music composed by Martin Bresnick. (2016; not rated; 12 minutes)
The documentary provides insight into the architecture of the Center's iconic building, designed by Louis I. Kahn, the recently completed building conservation project, and relationship of the building to the collections.
High Tea at the Galleries of Justice, Nottingham
High tea is a one-on-one performance by Annette Foster.The piece lasts for five minutes and is repeated over several hours for two audience members at a time. Audience members have the choice of experiencing the performance as a participant or viewing the solo performance for a solo audience from a secret location as a voyeur through a peep hole.

Arthur John Elsley
Arthur John Elsley (20 November 1860 -- 19 February 1952) was an English painter of the late Victorian and Edwardian periods, famous for his idyllic genre scenes of playful children and their pets. He achieved great popularity during his life and much of his work appeared in calendars, magazines and books.
At the height of his career from 1878 to 1927, Elsley exhibited 52 works at the Royal Academy. However, many more were shown at exhibition halls throughout the country: The Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, French Gallery, Dudley Gallery and Crystal Palace in London; The Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; The Institute of Fine Art, Glasgow; Manchester City Art Gallery; The Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham; Nottingham Castle Museum; Victoria Art Gallery, Bath; The International Exhibition in Cork Ireland (1902--03).
His prints were used commercially by many firms such as calendars by Thomas D. Murphy Co., Sunlight Soap, Brook's Sewing Cottons, Peek Freans biscuits & cakes; and Bibby's Quarterly (an illustrated journal of country and home life).
Currently Elsley's work can be seen at the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum in Bournemouth, in the collections of Hartlepool Museums and Heritage Service, at Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight, Liverpool, Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital in Liverpool and the Royal Pavilion Art Gallery and Museum, Preston Manor, 194 Preston Road, Brighton.

The University of Nottingham is a public research university in Nottingham, United Kingdom. It was founded as University College Nottingham in 1881, and was granted a Royal Charter in 1948.
Nottingham's main campus (University Park) with Jubilee Campus and teaching hospital (Queen's Medical Centre) are located within the City of Nottingham, with a number of smaller campuses and sites elsewhere in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Outside the United Kingdom, the university has campuses in Semenyih, Malaysia and Ningbo, China. Nottingham is organised into five constituent faculties, within which there are more than 50 schools, departments, institutes and research centres. Nottingham has about 45,500 students and 7,000 staff, and had an income of £656.5 million in 2017/18, of which £120.1 million was from research grants and contracts.Nottingham was ranked #8 overall in the UK by the 2018 QS Graduate Employability Rankings with a graduate employment rate of 88.4%. The University of Nottingham operates from four campuses in Nottinghamshire and from two overseas campuses, one in Ningbo, China and the other in Semenyih, Malaysia. The Ningbo campus was officially opened on 23 February 2005 by the then British Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott, in the presence of Chinese education minister Zhou Ji and State Counsellor Chen Zhili. The Malaysia campus was the first purpose-built UK university campus in a foreign country and was officially opened by Najib Tun Razak on 26 September 2005. Najib Tun Razak, as well as being a Nottingham alumnus, was Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia at the time and has since become Prime Minister of Malaysia.
University Park Campus and Jubilee Campus are situated a few miles from the centre of Nottingham, with the small King's Meadow Campus nearby. Sutton Bonington Campus is situated 12 miles (19 km) south of the central campuses, near the village of Sutton Bonington.
